works at a normal or standard time. In addition to determining current productivity levels, time measurement is also used to build wage incentive plans, estimate cost,
schedule production jobs and for other planning and control purposes.
1.2 Objective of the Research
The objective of this research is to develop standard time utilizing the work method and time measurement in a real situation and discover how the work method and time
measurement can be implemented in the manufacturing company for increasing company productivity. Besides, the objective also to used process flow chart to study the
flow of operations as it relates to material or workers within a process and to show the flow of QC activity from the beginning to the end of the process.
1.3 Scopes of the Research
In this research, it is concern on how the objectives, methods and techniques of work method and time measurement can improve company productivity. These methods and
techniques have been proved useful in increasing the effectiveness of company. The time study is done to get the standard time of the QC work in Textiles Manufacturing
Company. Meanwhile, to record a process in a compact manner, the process chart is used. It is a device that represents graphically the separate steps or events that occur
during the performance of a task or during series actions.

1.4 Problem Statement
In manufacturing companies, there have many departments such as, human resources, finance and accounting, sales and marketing, purchasing, quality assurance, quality
control and so on. All of the departments have contributed their own way to the company. Out of the entire department, quality control department is one of the
important departments in the manufacturing company. Work motion and time study are important in QC because it can uniform the all the QC work and standardize the time
taken during working hours. Work method and time study are the most common method use by a lot of manufacturing companies for improving company productivity.
Developing the work method and time study in company are not only giving a lot of profits but also overcome the whole problem of effective utilization of human effort in
manufacturing industry. It is the purpose to present the ways of increasing human effectiveness and improving life satisfactions through work itself. This research focuses
more on how to develop and implement the work motion and time study in QC department in one of the Textiles Manufacturing Company. The QC department needs to
make improvement to increase the effectiveness of QC during their working hour. This company does not have specific standard working procedures for QC jobs. So, this is the
main problems which need an attention. The standard working procedure consist the work motion and time measurement for QC jobs.
