ABSTRAKSI
Anakanak masa kanakkanak akhir, mulai tertarik dengan dunia di luar keluarganya terutama
dengan teman sebayanya. Memiliki saudara lebih menguntungkan daripada tidak memiliki
saudara, karena dengan memiliki saudara, maka anak bisa mendapatkan pelajaran gratis tentang
bersosialisasi Anakanak di tersebut juga sensitive terhadap pembagian perhatian dari
orangtuanya antara dia dan saudaranya yang lain. Namun, bagaimana jika saudaranya adalah
seorang anak autis yang hendaya dalam berkomunikasi dan berinteraksi serta membutuhkan
perhatian lebih dari orangtuanya. Karena itulah, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi
kondisi psikologis saudara kandung anak autis yang berusia kanakkanak akhir.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Subyek penelitian tiga anak usia
kanakkanak akhir, ketiganya berusia 12 tahun yang memiliki saudara autis dan tinggal serumah.
Adapun pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara dan observasi. Sedangkan analisa
datanya meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data dalam bentuk tabel dan narasi, dan conclusion
drawing/verification. Untuk mengecek keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi, yaitu
triangulasi sumber dan metode
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara kognitif, muncul persepsi bahwa saudara autisnya
itu merepotkan, menyebalkan, jarang disalahkan ketika terjadi pertengkaran antara dia dan
saudara autisnya, muncul persepsi bahwa orangtuanya tidak adil, muncul persepsi bahwa teman
temannya tidak menyukai dia dan saudara autisnya. Namun, ada pula persepsi bahwa saudara
autisnya bisa mengganggu temannya jika temannya main ke rumahnya. Selain itu, muncul pula
pikiran bahwa orangorang dewasa tidak mempedulikan subyek. Kemudian secara afeksi,
muncul perasaan marah, cemburu, kasihan, khawatir, sayang terhadap saudara autisnya; muncul
perasaan marah dan kasihan terhadap orangtuanya; muncul perasaan khawatir, malu, sedih,
marah, canggung terhadap teman sebayanya; muncul perasaan sedih dalam konteks hubungan
subyek dengan orangorang dewasa selain orangtuanya. Sedangkan secara konasi, muncul
perilaku mengabaikan dan menendang saudara autisnya ketika marah kepada saudara autisnya,
muncul perilaku protes atas perlakuan orangtuanya terhadap dia dan saudara autisnya, muncul
perilaku membanting pintu dan masuk kamar ketika marah terhadap orangtua. Perilaku
kooperatif yang ditunjukkan dengan ikut menjaga dan merawat saudara autisnya juga muncul
ketika merasa kasihan terhadap saudara autisnya dan kasihan melihat orangtuanya kelelahan
sepulang kerja. Muncul pula perilaku menarik diri dari orangorang dewasa selain orangtuanya.
ABSTRACT
Child in last child age begin to interest to other world of their family especially with their
friends. They have brothers or sisters more advantage than they do not have brothers and sisters.
Because if they have brother and sister then they can get free lesson about socialization. Child
are also sensitive to attention sharing from their parents among them and their brother and sister.
But, what happen if their brother and sister are autic that have difficulty to communicate and
interaction along with need attention from their parents. Base on this background, the goal of this
study to identify psychology condition for autic child who last child age.
This study use qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects of this study are three child in last
child age, they are 12 years old who have autic brother and sister and life together. The data
collecting are interview and observation method. While the data analysis cover data reduction,
data interpretation in table form and narration, and conclusion drawing/verification. To check
data validity use triangulation technique, namely source and method triangulation.
The study result show that cognitively, there are perception that their autic brothers make busy,
resentful, they are seldom wrong when it happens dispute among them and child autic, there are
perception that parents are not justice, there are perception that their friends did not like him and
their brother. But, there are perception that autic brothers can disturb their friends if their friend
play together in their house. Beside that, there are thinking that adult age did not care subjects.
Then for affection, there are angry, jealous, pity, worry feeling to autic brothers, there are angry
and pity feeling to parents; there are worry, shy, sad, angry feeling to their friends. While for
connation, there are behavior to ignore and hit their autic brother when they are angry, there are
claim behavior to parents to them and their autic brothers, there are behavior to closed door
loudly and enter to bedroom when they are angry to their parents. Cooperative behavior that be
appointed to follow to care and maintain their autic brother when they feel pity to their autic
brothers and pity when they see their parents so tired. There are interesting behavior for adult
beside their parents.
