D. Research Finding

1. Data Description

Having field research about parents’ involvement and the students’ English achievement in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Tangerang II Pamulang, the writer took the scores of 40 students sampling and analyzed those score in order to find out whether there is any correlation between English achievement and parents’ involvement by Pearson’s product moment. After calculating statistically, the writer got minimum score is 24, the maximum is 57, the median is 41, the mode is 43 and the mean is 42. In statistical calculation, it showed the minimum score is 60, the maximum is 91, the median is 71, the mode is 71, and the mean is 73.

2. Data Analysis

In order to know the correlation between parents’ involvement and students’ English achievement, Pearson’s product moment formula is applied.
