Incidence of Wilt Disease on Integrated Pest Management of Pineapple (Ananas
comosus) Plot at Desa Bunihayu, Kecamatan Jalancagak, Kabupaten Subang,
Jawa Barat. Guidance by SUPRAMANA dan GEDE SUASTIKA.
Reniform nematodes (Rotylenchulus reniformis) was one of potential
threat which able to decreasing the pineapple productivity. Moreover, existence of
this reniform nematodes on pineapple planting was capable to increase pineapple
wilt severity by infection of Pineapple Maelybug Wilt associated Virus
(PMWaV). The high demand for pineapple impelling better culture system which
capable to reduce damage caused by pineapple wilt disease. This research was
established to determine the influence of integrated pest management (IPM)
system on pineapple planting against population growth of R. reniformis,
pineapple wilt disease incidence, and production of fresh fruit. There were three
culture system conducted in this study, 1) conventional, appropriate the local
culture (KON), 2) using virus-free seed (BBV), and 3) integrated pest
management, mixed with virus-free seed, good cultivation, organic and synthetic
fertilizer application, and nematicide (PHT). In the first year in IPM system was
not giving impact to R. reniformis population (P>0,05), otherwise in second year
this system could reduce the reniformis nematodes significantly (P
