ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
No other words that I can say except thank you Lord Jesus for Your
blessing so that I can finish the observation and interview well. It is absolutely not
because of my strength. You have made everything is possible. I also would like
to say thank you for the pray, support and spirit that have given from:
1. My lovely family (Simbok, Simak, Bapake, Mas).
2. Mrs. Rindang Widiningrum, S.S, M.Hum as my thesis supervisor who is
very patience in giving advices, Mrs. Dra. Ristiyanti Prasetijo, MBA, all
lecturers, and also staffs in ex-STiBA SW.
3. Le Beringin Hotel management who gave permission for me in doing the
observation, especially Mr. Bondan and Miss Jessica as the interviewees.
4. Mr. Timotius Trimin as the priest of Java Christian Chruch at Ngemplak,
Susukan and the community.
5. All 2010 members, all friends at Ngemplak city, futsal team Tweety,
Kontrakan Domas for our togetherness.
6. My best friends who give hands in ending this duty (Marcuret, Mbak q2s,
Mas Atenk, and boss Kian).
7. Others who cannot mentioned one by one.
In the end, I realize that it is better to be late than to be afraid and then do
nothing. We never know if we do not try. Thus, let us try to do many things until
we know everything.

BRIEF SUMMARY
As a requirement to do final examination, the writer did observation and
interviews. By doing those activities, he could know well the fact in work field.
The writer observed at Le Beringin Hotel Salatiga, located on Sudirman street
number 16. During the observation about the hotel activities especially at front
office department in two weeks, the writer also interviewed two front office staffs
as receptionist. While doing these jobs, the Le Beringin Hotel’s staffs are very
friendly and helpful. It was supporting much. However, the writer also faced
problems i.e. when the writer was sick and the interview has done outside the
hotel. The environment does not support well, so the result is not good enough
because it was too noisy while recording. Nevertheless, the observation and
interview could run well so the writer could enter the final examination.
