ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran tendensi atribusi bermusuhan
dalam memediasi hubungan antara penolakan sosial dan perilaku tweet war.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan 477 partisipan
pengguna twitter aktif yang berasal dari usia remaja dan dewasa awal. Partisipan
penelitian ini diambil dengan teknik sampling incidental. Hasil analisis yang
diperoleh mendukung hipotesa penelitian bahwa hubungan antara penolakan
sosial dan perilaku tweet war dimediasi oleh tendensi atribusi bermusuhan.
Penelitian ini menunjukkan pentingnya peran penolakan sosial dalam
meningkatkan tendensi atribusi bermusuhan yang akhirnya meningkatkan perilaku
tweet war. Oleh sebab itu perlu adanya peningkatan ruang sosial tatap muka untuk
dapat meningkatkan kesempatan interaksi dan sosialisasi masyarakat, sebagai
usaha untuk mengurangi perilaku tweet war.

The Role of Hostile Attributional Tendencies as a Mediator of Social
Rejection to Tweet War Behavior

ABSTRACT
The present research examines the relationship between social rejection
and tweet war behavior and the role of hostile attributional tendencies in
mediating the relationship. This research used a quantitative approach involving
477 twitter active user from adolescence and early adulthood. They were recruited
incidentally. The results obtained from the analysis suported our hypothesis that
the relationship between social rejection and tweet war behavior was mediated by
the hostile attributional tendencies. This study shows the importance of the role of
social rejection in increasing hostile attribution tendencies that ultimately improve
the tweet war behavior. Therefore it is necessary to increase face to face social
interaction that can increase the opportunities for interaction and socialization, in
order to reduce tweet war behavior.
