education. In one side, the supervisor must know his coachers· real need. And the other
side, he must adapl the field needs with lhe oalional. even intematiooal s1andanl of
education.
Furthermore, how does the supervisor actualize his programs? 'The supervisor of
Catholic Religion Education is in charge of construcling. guiding, and •'Upervising lhe
perfonnance of each 1eacher. Actualizing that main IMk. lhe supcrvisoi mUSI realize an
academic supervision function An academic supervision means a function of supervision
dealing with the constructive and developing aspect of teachers' professional capebility of
improving the learning quality at school. The targets o f lleodemic supervision are plan their
teaching and counseling activity, to actuate them, 10 evaluate process and out put of
teaching. to give an exact, regular, and cootinuous feedback for their SIOdenl, 10 c:reale a
spberc of comfonable study, 1o develop and 10 make use of rools and lc:ad!ina or
counseling media, to improve a precise and efficicn1 inlerac:tioo of teaching or counseling
(approach, method, stnUegy, k:Cbnique, and model).
T'o lcnow how the supervisor's main task and function is carried out il mU$1 be
evaluated by several clements. They an: teachers, headmasters, and especially bis din:ct
chief. These pcrsoM have a duty to comment on the supervisor's performance. The goal is
to evaluate the :rupervisor's programs, its implementation and the impact on the quality of
cduca110n. particularly on the leaching of Catholic Religion in the Senembah Tanjung
