THE ANALYSIS OF NOMINAL SENTENCES
OF SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE IN DESCRIPTIVE TEXT USED
BY THE TENTH GRADE STUDENTS
OF MA MUSLIMAT NU PALANGKA RAYA
The principle purpose of this study was to describe the use of nominal
sentence of simple present tense in descriptive text by the tenth grade students of
MA Muslimat NU Palangka Raya. How do the tenth grade students of MA
Muslimat NU Palangka Raya using form nominal sentence of simple present tense
in the written descriptive text products and what factors do contributing to their
difficulties in using nominal sentence of simple present tense in writing descriptive

text.
The method of this study was descriptive method and the approach of this
study was qualitative. The subjects of the study were 13 students. In collecting the
data, the writer used two techniques; interview and documentation. While
analyzing the data, it used some techniques such as data collection, data reduction,
data display, and conclusion drawing/verification.
The result of the study showed that the difficulties faced by the tenth grade
students of MA Muslimat NU Palangka Raya were less vocabulary when write a
descriptive text, confused when writing a descriptive text, difficulties in arranging
the sentence, confused to determine the form of nominal sentence, difficulties to
translate into English, and forgeting form of nominal sentence.

ANALISIS KALIMAT NOMINAL DARI SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE
PADA PENGGUNAAN TEKS DESKRIPTIF OLEH SISWA KELAS
SEPULUH MA MUSLIMAT NU PALANGKA RAYA
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran bagaimana

menggunakan kalimat nominal dari simple present tense pada teks deskriptif oleh
siswa kelas sepuluh MA Muslimat NU Palangka Raya. Bagaimana kelas Sepuluh
MA Muslimat NU Palangka Raya penggunaan bentuk kalimat nominal dari simple
present tense pada tulisan teks deskriptif dan faktor pendukung apa saja yang
menyebabkan kesulitan mereka pada penggunaan kalimat nominal dari simple
present tense pada menulis teks deskriptif.
Adapum metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif
dan pendekatan yang digunakan adalah metode qualitative. Subjek pada penelitian
ini adalah 13 orang siswa. Dalam pengumpulan data, penulis menggunakan dua
tekhnik; interview and dokumtentasi. Sedangkan dalam menganalisa data, peneliti
menggunakan beberapa tekhnik seperti pengumpulan data, penyeleksian data,
pemaparan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kesulitan yang dihadapi oleh siswa kelas
sepuluh MA Muslimat NU Palngka Raya adalah kurang kosa kata ketika menulis
teks deskriptif, bingung ketika menulis teks deskriptif, kesulitan dalam menyusun
kalimat, bingung menentukan bentuk kalimat nominal, kesulitan menterjemahkan
ke dalam Bahasa Inggris, dan lupa bentuk dari kalimat nominal.

CURRICULUM VITAE

Helmi was born on April 05th, 1989 in Palingkau Central Borneo. She lived
on Jln. Palingkau Muda, She was the first child of Soyman and Herlina Liyana. She
has sister and young brother; they are Halimatus Sadi’ah and M. Al-Habibie. Her
hobbies were volley ball, badminton, cooking, reading, listening to the music, and
watching movies.
She was educated at State Elementary School (SDN-1) Palingkau in her
village, Palingkau from 1995 to 2001. Then, she attended Islamic Junior High
School Al-Falah Martapura, from 2001 to 2004. She then continued her study at
(MA) Nurul Ma’ad Martapura from 2004 to 2007. From 2007 till 2012 she
continued her study in the State Islamic College of Palangka Raya. Finally, she got
her Sarjana Degree and graduated on 2012.
