ABSTRAK
Anggi Yuniarti Sofyana, 210111100156, 2012. Judul penelitian ini adalah
Presenter Berita TV Lokal Bandung Dalam Perkembangan Industri Media. Studi
Kasus Deskriptif Mengenai Keberadaan Presenter Berita TV Lokal Bandung
Dalam Perkembangan Industri Media. Pembimbing dalam penelitian ini adalah Dr.
Eni Maryani, M.Si., sebagai pembimbing utama dan Agus Setiaman, S.Sos,
M.Ikom., sebagai pembimbing pendamping. Jurusan Manajemen Komunikasi,
Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi, Universitas Padjadjaran Kampus Bandung.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fungsi sistem perekrutan
presenter berita di TV lokal Bandung, mekanisme kerja presenter berita di TV
lokal Bandung, dan kompetensi yang dimiliki presenter berita di TV lokal
Bandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif
dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Objek penelitian ini adalah stasiun TV lokal
Bandung yang memproduksi program beritanya sendiri yaitu TVRI Jabar Banten,
Bandung TV, PJTV, STV, dan IMTV. Subjek Penelitian ini adalah presenter
berita dan redaksi TV lokal Bandung serta pengamat media.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Sistem perekrutan presenter
berita diberlakukan TV lokal Bandung untuk menyeleksi sumber daya manusia
terbaik sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan keinginan stasiun televisi. Penelitian
menemukan bahwa banyak peminat yang melamar menjadi presenter berita di TV
lokal Bandung namun tidak memiliki kompetensi yang memadai untuk direkrut.
Mekanisme kerja presenter berita di TV lokal Bandung tergantung pada status
pekerjaan dan program berita yang dibawakan oleh presenter berita. Kompetensi
presenter berita di TV lokal Bandung secara umum belum sepenuhnya memenuhi
kompetensi yang diharapkan oleh stasiun TV. Hal ini terkait dengan kendala
ekonomi dan sumber daya manusia TV lokal Bandung yang terbatas, sehingga
berimplikasi pada proses rekrutmen yang kurang maksimal. Terutama kurangnya
pelatihan yang diberikan kepada presenter baru.

Bandung Local TV News Presenter in Media Industry Development. Descriptive
Case Study Regarding the existence of Bandung Local TV News Presenter In
Media Industry Development. Mentors in the study were Dr.. Eni Maryani, M.Sc.,
as the principal adviser and Agus Setiaman, S.Sos, M.Ikom., As the assistant
coach. Department of Management Communication, Faculty of Communication,
University of Padjadjaran Bandung.
The aims of this study is to determine the function of the recruitment of
Bandung local TV news presenter , the mechanism of action of local TV news
presenter , and the competency of local TV news presenter .. The method used in
this research is a qualitative case study approach. Object of this research is a
Bandung local TV station that produces their own news program that TVRI Jabar
Banten, Bandung TV, PJTV, STV, and IMTV. The research subject is the news
presenter and editor of local TV and media observers.
The results of this study indicates that the recruitment system of local TV
news presenter is for selecting the best human resources in accordance with the
needs and desires of the television station. The study found that many applicants
who apply for a local TV news presenter in Bandung, but they do not have
sufficient competence to be recruited. Mechanism of work of local TV news
presenter in Bandung is depending on employment status and news programs
hosted by news presenter. Competence of Bandung local TV news presenter is
generally not fully meet the competencies that expected by the TV station. This is
related to economic constraints and human resources are limited in Bandung
local TV, so implicated in the recruitment process less than the maximum.
Especially the lack of training provided to new presenter.
