LEMBAR PENJELASAN KEPADA SUBJEK/ ORANG TUA SUBJEK

PENELITIAN

  Kepada Yth: Bapak/Ibu orang tua murid Di tempat Perkenalkan nama saya Angelia Stefani, saat ini saya sedang menjalani

pendidikan dokter gigi di Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Sumatera Utara. Saya

akan mengadakan penelitian dengan judul “Prediksi Leeway Space dengan

Menggunakan Analisis Tanaka-Johnston pada Murid Sekolah Dasar Suku

Batak di kota Medan” yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai rata-rata ukuran gigi

(Leeway space) murid Sekolah Dasar di Medan. Manfaat dari penelitian ini adalah

dapat bermanfaat bagi dokter gigi dalam melakukan perawatan gigi anak Indonesia.

  Dalam penelitian tersebut, anak dari Bapak/Ibu akan saya lakukan

pemeriksaan rongga mulut secara langsung dan akan dilakukan pencetakan gigi

rahang atas dan rahang bawah dengan menggunakan alat sendok cetak, tepung gigi,

dan semen gigi. Tepung gigi akan saya campurkan dengan air dan tercampur rata

dengan adonan tepung gigi, kemudian saya akan meletakkan adonan ke dalam sendok

cetak, lalu sendok cetak di masukkan ke dalam mulut selama 2 menit untuk

mendapatkan cetakan gigi geligi adik-adik. Setelah 2 menit, sendok cetak dikeluarkan

dari mulut adik. Kemudian hasil cetakan gigi yang saya dapatkan kemudian akan di

isi dengan semen gigi. Setelah semen mengeras dan berbentuk seperti gigi adik-adik,

maka ini dinamakan model gigi (hasil cetakan gigi). Langkah terakhir adalah

mengeluarkan model dari sendok cetak dan melakukan perhitungan ukuran gigi adik-

adik pada model gigi (hasil cetakan gigi).

  Sebagai informasi, efek samping dari pencetakan tersebut biasanya akan

  

rongga mulut. Apabila terjadi, maka saya akan memberikan air mineral dan permen

untuk penanggulangannya. Namun, efek samping ini tidak mengakibatkan apa-apa.

  Untuk melakukan penelitian ini saya membutuhkan partisipasi dari anak

Bapak/Ibu untuk bersedia ikut dalam penelitian yang dilakukan secara sukarela.
