ABSTRACT

RUSMAN EFENDI. Control of Blood Glucose Level by Green Tea and or
Mulberry Leaf Tea on Diabetic Rats. Under direction of EVY DAMAYANTHI, LILIK
KUSTIYAH, and NASTITI KUSUMORINI

Diabetes mellitus is a degeneratif disease with high prevalence that
happens in many countries. Several studies have been done to control diabetes
by using such as green tea, mulberry leaf tea, and their mixture. The aim of this
research are to analyze the influence of the administration green tea, mulbery
leaf tea, and their mixture to blood glucose level of diabetic rats both during 120
minutes with interval each 30 minutes and 16 days after administration with
interval each 4 days. This research consisted four phases, first determine the
best mulberry leaf tea, second phases, determine turnover of blood glucose level
on normal rats, third and fourth phases to observe the capability of green tea and
or mulberry leaf tea to control of blood glucose level during 120 minutes and 16
days on diabetic rats. The result of research during 120 minutes have showed

that blood glucose level on diabetic rats which were administered by green tea,
mulberry leaf tea and their mixture is significantly difference (p
