ABSTRACT

In Indonesia economy, sub-sector of plantation getting the strategic place in
agricultural sector and play an important role in national development. One of the
commodity from sub-sector of plantation that able to give contribution to the
national economic matter is the coffee commodity.

The coffee commodity as the export commodity of non-oil and natural gas in
Indonesia just not only produce income, but in other side as the economic effort that
give the job oppurtunnity to our society and as the source of income to the coffee
farmers
North Sumatera as one of the province in Indonesia has a high potention as
the producer and as the coffee exporter, because of the weather foetor, climate
and geography faetor that supporting in coftee planting process. The current
conditions of the coffee plantations have been gradually improving that we hope in
the near future, North Sumatera will be able to manifest the high quality coffee as
has been our pride before.
