and loneliness, because of that the Null hypothesis H which confirms that
there is no significant negative relationship between Adjustment and Loneliness has been denied. With an alternative hypothesis H
1
that there is a significant negative relationship between the two variables, Adjustment and
Loneliness. This hypothesis had been accepted as the hypothesis of this research. There is a significant negative relationship between Adjustment and
Loneliness. The direction of the negative relationship that had been obtained in this research means that the more low the feeling of loneliness then the
adjustment process will be high. The higher the feeling of loneliness, the lower the adjustment process.
4.4 Regression analysis
After receiving a clear correlation counting, the researcher wants to know how much loneliness contributes towards adjustment. The variance proportion R²
of adjustment towards adjustment can explain this relation. The result of this contribution has been presented in the Model Summary table as follows:
Table 4.11 Model Summary

According to table 4.11, the research results of R Square value R² with a value of 0.609. The Adjustment variable gives a contribution as big as 60.9
towards the changing of the Loneliness variable. Accordingly, the 39.1 gets affected by variables other than loneliness. This research does not measure
Adjustment that gives a contribution towards changing the Loneliness variable.

Below follows a table of the results of ANOVA : The results show that the value of F is as big as 90.148. The value of F table
with df 1 and 58 is as big as 4.03. The fact that F than F table, it can be concluded that the model similarity regression of this research can be used
for research follow-up. A linear relationship was performed, then scoring and also measuring of the independent variable was performed. Then finally a
constant significance test was performed. . See table 4.13 below:

According to the table on top, the value of t is as big as -9.495. According to t table, a tariff significance of 5 with df 58 n-2=60-2 is as big as 2.021.
Which means that t -9.495 2.021

According to this significance, adjustment gives a real effect on the loneliness condition of the international
students.

CHAPTER 5 CONCLUSION, DISCUSSION AND SUGGESTIONS
In the following chapter the researcher will give a short conclusion, discuss the shortcomings of this research and give a few suggestions towards this
research.
5.1 Conclusion
According to the data analysis that had been obtained, it can be concluded there is a significant negative relationship between adjustment and loneliness
amongst the international students studying at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta State Islamic University. With a conclusion to the
alternative hypothesis statement, this means the higher the adjustment process the lower the feelings of loneliness will be amongst the international
students. If the adjustment process is low then the feelings of loneliness will be high.
5.2 Discussion
The research results give a clear description that there is a significant negative relationship between adjustment and loneliness amongst
international students studying at the Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic
