C. Research Questions
Among the previous formulated problems, the researcher picks one problem to study. This research is intended to answer
main question ―To what extend the cultural content in English textbooks at MTs Negeri support main goal of EFL teaching
which is intercultural communicative competence? ‖ Following
this main question, there are some additional questions that will be investigated, as follows.
1 How cultures are represented in the English textbooks?
2 What types of culture are represented in the English textbooks?
3 What culture senses are included in the English textbooks?
4 What elements of culture are featured in the English

some countries, this current research is aimed at achieving these objectives.
