ABSTRAK
Ratu Bibit merupakan suatu kategori bibit Domba Garut betina yang ada
dalam kontes ternak. Peserta harus memenuhi syarat dan kriteria kontes, postur
tubuh yang ideal, keserasian adeg-adeg, mempunyai sifat unggul dan dapat
mewariskannya. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Produksi Ternak Potong
Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Padjadjaran. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui
ukuran-ukuran tubuh Domba Garut kategori ratu bibit peserta kontes ternak
tingkat Jawa Barat 2013. Objek penelitian adalah Domba Garut betina peserta
kontes ternak tingkat Jawa Barat 2013. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif
retrospektif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengambil data
sekunder ukuran-ukuran tubuh seluruh peserta kontes dan ditunjang oleh data
kepemilikan serta silsilah ternak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rataan bobot
badan Domba Garut betina kategori ratu bibit adalah 37,41 ± 6,17 kg, panjang
badan 66,19 ± 4,51 cm, lingkar dada 80,04 ± 5,04 cm, tinggi pundak 69,37 ±
3,91cm, lingkar pinggang 83,88 ± 6,88cm, lebar dada 14,68 ± 1,31cm, dan dalam
dada 28,13 ± 3,04cm.

Participants must have the requirements and criteria of the contest, the ideal
posture, adeg- adeg harmony, has superior properties and can pass it on. The
research was conducted at the laboratory of Livestock Meat Production at Animal
Husbandry Faculty Padjadjaran University. The Purpose of research to determine
body measurements in Garut Ewe stock category at West Java Livestock Contest
2013 participants. The object of this research were Garut Ewe stock the
participants of West Java Livestock Contest 2013. The research used descriptive
retrospective method. Technique of collecting data was take body measurements
secondary data of all contest participants and supported by ownership and
recording livestock data. The results showed body weight average Garut Ewe
stock category are 37.41 ± 6.17 kg, body length 66.19 ± 4.51 cm, chest
circumference 80.04 ± 5.04 cm, height of the shoulders 69.37 ± 3.91 cm, waist
circumference 83.88 ± 6.88 cm, width of the chest 14.68 ± 1.31 cm, in the chest
28.13 ± 3.04 cm.
