Laju Dekomposisi Serasah Daun Bruguiera cylindrica pada Berbagai Tingkat Salinitas di Kampung Nypa Desa Sei NagalawanK ecamatan Perbaungan

ABSTRACT

JOKO TRI WIJANARKO. Decomposition of Bruguiera cylindrica litter leaf at
the various levels of salinity in the village of Sei Nagalawan Nypa sub-district of
Perbaungan. Under Academic Supervisior by YUNASFI and HESTI
WAHYUNINGSIH.
Leaflitter undergo to the process of decomposition of marine organisms as
a source of food for the preservation of mangrove ecosystems. In the process of
litter decomposition also releases nutrients that are needed by the mangrove plants
were affected by the salinity level of seawater. The next step to do researchin the
mangrove forest areas Kampung Nipa in the village of Sei Nagalawan Nypa subdistrict of Perbaungan in June-September, 2015. This study aims to determine the
effect of salinity on the rate of leaf litter decomposition B. cylindrica and
determine the availability of nutrients carbon (C), nitrogen (N) and phosphorus
(P) contained in the leaf litter B. cylindrica. The results of the study of leaf litter
B. cylindrica at 10-20 ppt salinity level more quickly decomposes. The average
weight of the rest of the leaf litter B. cylindrica which decompose at a rate of 010 ppt salinity, 10-20 ppt and 20-30 ppt was 1.70 grams, 1.21 grams and 3.99
grams.The rate of leaf litter decomposition B. cylindrica at a rate of 0-10 ppt
salinity, 10-20 ppt and 20-30 ppt was 0.83, 0.91, and 0.62. Carbon levels of
nutrients in the leaf litter B. cylindrica ppt salinity level 0-10, 10-20 ppt and 20-30
ppt was 18.47%, 18.01% and 18.84%. Levels of nutrients nitrogen in leaf litter B.
cylindrica ppt salinity level 0-10 ppt, 10-20 ppt and 20-30 ppt was 2.8%, 2.9%,

and 2.8% as well as the levels of the nutrient phosphorus leaf litter B . cylindrica
on ppt salinity level 0-10 ppt, 10-20 ppt and 20-30 ppt was 0.16%, 0.18% and
0.17% respectively.

ABSTRAK

JOKO TRI WIJANARKO. Dekomposisi Serasah Daun Bruguiera cylindricapada
berbagai Tingkat Salinitas Di Kampung Nypa Desa Sei Nagalawan Kecamatan
Perbaungan. Dibawah bimbingan YUNASFI dan HESTI WAHYUNINGSIH.
Serasah daun yang mengalami proses dekomposisi bermanfaat bagi
organisme laut sebagai sumber makanan bagi kelestarian ekosistem mangrove.
Dalam proses dekomposisi serasah juga melepaskan unsur hara yang sangat
dibutuhkan oleh tanaman mangrove yang dipengaruhi oleh tingkat salinitas air
laut. Selanjutnya dilakukan penelitian di kawasan hutan mangrove Kampung
Nypa Desa Sei Nagalawan Kecamatan Perbaungan pada bulan Juni – September

2015. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pengaruh tingkat salinitas
terhadap laju dekomposisi serasah daun B. cylindrica dan menentukan
ketersediaan unsur hara karbon (C), Nitrogen (N) dan fosfor (P) yang terdapat
pada serasah daun B. cylindrica. Hasil penelitian serasah daun B. cylindrica pada
tingkat salinitas 10-20 ppt lebih cepat terdekomposisi.Rata-rata bobot sisa serasah
daun B. cylindrica yang mengalami dekomposisi pada tingkat salinitas 0-10 ppt,
10-20 ppt dan 20-30 ppt yaitu 1,70 gram, 1,21 gram, dan 3,99 gram. Laju
dekomposisi serasah daun B. cylindrica pada tingkat salinitas 0-10 ppt, 10-20
ppt dan 20-30 ppt yaitu 0,83, 0,91, dan 0,62. Kadar unsur hara C serasah daun
B. cylindrica pada tingkat salinitas 0-10 ppt, 10-20 ppt dan 20-30 ppt yaitu
18,47%, 18,01%, dan 18,84%. Kadar unsur hara N serasah daun B. cylindrica
pada tingkat salinitas 0-10 ppt, 10-20 ppt dan 20-30 ppt yaitu 2,8%, 2,9%, dan
2,8% serta Kadar unsur hara P serasah daun B. cylindrica pada tingkat salinitas
0-10 ppt, 10-20 ppt dan 20-30 ppt yaitu 0,16%, 0,18%, dan 0,17%.
