ANALISIS POTENSI EKONOMI WILAYAH
KECAMATAN DI KABUPATEN NIAS SELATAN
ABSTRAK
Kabupaten Nias Selatan merupakan salah satu wilayah kabupaten yang
berada di Kepulauan Nias. Kabupaten Nias Selatan adalah salah satu Kabupaten
yang berada di Kepulauan Nias yang memiliki wilayah potensial dalam
pembangunan ekonomi wilayah. Perekonomian Kabupaten Nias Selatan dapat
berkembang juga didukung daripada potensi ekonomi Kabupaten Nias Selatan itu
sendiri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan : (1) Analisis Geografi yang
menggunakan Multifactor Evaluation Process (MFEP) (2) Analisis Demografi
dan Ketenagakerjaan dan (3) Mapping Potensi Ekonomi yang menggunakan
Analisis Pendekatan Tipologi Klassen, Membangkitkan Ekonomi Kedepan dan
Kebelakang serta Keterkaitan Daerah Kabupaten Nias Selatan dengan Daerah
Lainnya. Dalam pendekatan deskriptif penulis menggunakan key informan dalam
Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara
persentase Sektor Tanaman merupakan sektor tertinggi dan sektor Industri Kecil
dan Menengah merupakan sektor terendah. Sektor Tanaman tertinggi di
Kecamatan Susua dan terendah di kecamatan Pulau – Pulau Batu. Sektor
Peternakan tertinggi di Kecamatan Mazo dan terendah di Kecamatan Pulau-Pulau
Batu Timur. Sektor Perikanan tertinggi di Kecamatan Hibala dan terendah di
Kecamatan Susua. Sektor Industri Kecil dan Menengah tertinggi di Kecamatan
Fanayama dan terendah di Kecamatan Amandraya. Sektor Pengembangan
tertinggi di Kecamatan Pulau – Pulau Batu dan terendah salah satunya di
Kecamatan Umbunasi. Sektor Komunikasi tertinggi di Kecamatan Amandraya
terendah salah satunya di Kecamatan Lolowau. Sektor Jasa – Jasa tertinggi di
Kecamatan Telukdalam dan terendah di Kecamatan Pulau – Pulau Batu Timur.
Sektor Perdagangan tertinggi di Kecamatan Telukdalam dan terendah salah
satunya di kecamatan Mazo. Sektor Pariwisata tertinggi di Kecamatan Fanayama
dan terendah di Kecamatan Aramo.

AREAS IN SOUTH NIAS REGENCY
ABSTRACT
South Nias Regency is one of the regencies in Nias Archipelago. It is one
of the regencies in Nias which has potential area in regional economic
development. Economy in South Nias Regency can develop since it is supported by
its own economic potency. The research used 1) geographic analysis method by
using Multifactor Evaluation Process (MFEP), 2) demographic analysis and
manpower method, and 3) economic potency mapping by using Klassen Typology
approach, Develop Future and Previous Economy and the connection between
South Nias Regency and the Other Areas. Key informants in Focus Group
Discussion were used in this descriptive approach. The result of the research
showed that, in percentage, Plant Sector was the highest sector and the sector of
Small and Medium Industry was the lowest one. The highest plant sector was in
Susua Subdistrict and the lowest one was in Pulau-Pulau Batu Subdistrict. The
highest animal breeding sector was in Mazo Subdistrict and the lowest one was in
Pulau-Pulau Batu Timur Subdistrict. The highest fishery sector was in Hibala
Subdistrict and the lowest one was in Susua Subdistrict. The highest Small and
Medium Industry sector was in Fanayama Subdistrict and the lowest one was in
Amandraya Subdistrict. The highest development sector was in Pulau-Pulau Batu
Subdistrict and the lowest one was in Umbunasi Subdistrict. The highest
communication sector was in Amandraya Subdistrict and the lowest one was in
Lolowau Subdistrict. The highest service sector was in Telukdalam Subdistrict
and the lowest one was in Pulau-Pulau Batu Timur Subdistrict.The highest
commerce sector was in Telukdalam Subdistrict and the lowest one was in Mazo
Subdistrict. The highest tourism sector was in Fanayama Subdistrict and the
lowest one was in Aramo Subdistrict.
