SUMATERA UTARA

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini telah dilakukan di perairan Danau Toba, Desa Marlumba pada
bulanFebruari 2016. Penentuan titik lokasi penelitian menggunakan metode
“Purposive Sampling” dengan menentukan tiga stasiun berdasarkan aktivitas
masyarakat di danau tersebut. Alat yang digunakan dalam penangkapan lobster
adalah bubu. Banyaknya individu lobster yang diperoleh dari hasil tangkapan di
ketiga stasiun sebanyak 54 ekor, dari stasiun I sebanyak 16 ekor, stasiun II
sebanyak 29 ekor dan stasiun III sebanyak 9 ekor. Kepadatan lobster tertinggi
ditemukan pada stasiun II dengan nilai 0,033 ind/m 2. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian
pada ketiga stasiun, pola pertumbuhan lobster pada stasiun I dan III bersifat
alometrik positif, dimana nilai koefisien pertumbuhan pada stasiun I adalah
3,132dan stasiun III adalah 3,739. Sedangkan, pola pertumbuhan pada stasiun II
bersifat alometrik negatif dengan nilai 2,68. Berdasarkan hasil analisis korelasi
pearson, nilai BOD5 berkorelasi sangat kuat terhadap kepadatan lobster air tawar.

POPULATIONS OF FRESHWATER CRAYFISH (Cherax
quadricarinatus) IN THE WATERS OF LAKE TOBA,
MARLUMBA VILLAGE, DISTRICT SIMANINDO, SAMOSIR
REGENCY, NORTH SUMATERA

ABSTRACT
This study has been conducted at Lake Toba, Marlumba village during February
2016. Purposive sampling method was used to determine three stations of the
research based on community activities at the lake. Tools were used for catching
freshwater crayfishes “Bubu”. Numbers of freshwater crayfishes caught from all
stations are 54 individuals consisted of 16 individuals from 1st station, 29
individuals from 2nd station and 9 individuals from 3rd station. The highest density
was found at the second station with the number 0,33 ind/m 2. According to the
result from all station, the growth pattern of freshwater crayfishes at 1 st and 3rd
station is allometric positive with growth coefficient for 1 st station is 3,132 and 3rd
station is 3,739. Meanwhile, the growth pattern of 2 nd station is allometric

negative with growth coefficient is equal to 2,680. Pearson correlation analysis
indicated that the BOD5 value are strongly correlated with the density of
freshwater crayfishes.
