As one educatiort inno,-atiort, the school-level curricwlum (named
KTSP in Indonesian), involves all the parties at the schoa! level. The
present study was a survey oJ the implementation of the nev, curriculum
in vocational schools in the city of Yogyakarta. The survey was
dalam
lurikulum 2044,
concerned u,ith the critical factors in the implementation of KTSP
inc luding tec hnical factors, management, res ources, influences, and the
determination of the implementation o/'KTSP. The critical factors were
identified in 39 questions to be answered by respondents v,htt we;'e
involved in the implementation of KTSP in each school. The results of
the studl; found six Jactors that plal'ed critical roles in
the

and plan implementation, (2) comntttnication, (3) sh'ucture and, tecnt
work, (4) school process re-engineering, (5) prolect chanipion. (6)

dffirence in the characteristics of schools in the irnplententation of
KTSP meaning that success in the implementation of the curriculum
was not determined by school characteistics. Recommendation

improvised KTSP implementation tailored to the characteristics of each
