ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini adalah mengenai bagaimana website pariwisata.garutkab.go.id
berperan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi pengguna. Tujuan penelitian ini
adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana isi informasi, kegunaan informasi, dan
desain visual yang terdapat pada website berperan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan
informasi pengguna. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif yang
dimaksudkan untuk menggambarkan atau memaparkan variabel-variabel yang
menjadi objek penelitiannya. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan dalam
penelitian ini berasal dari dari dua sumber yaitu data primer yang diperoleh
melalui angket metode purposive samling dengan jumlah responden 38 orang, dan
data sekunder yang diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan pihak pengelola website
pariwisata.garutkab.go.id, observasi di lapangan, serta studi kepustakaan. Hasil
penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa pengguna website pariwisata.garutkab.go.id
menilai isi informasi, kegunaan informasi, dan desain visual sudah cukup baik
dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi.

ABSTRACT
This study is about how the website pariwisata.garutkab.go.id role in meeting the
information needs of users. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent
to which the content of information, usefulness of information, and visual design
on the website to satisfy the information needs of users. The method used is
descriptive research is to describe or explain dimagsudkan variables that the
object of research. Data collection techniques used in this study come from two
sources, namely from the primary data obtained through the questionnaire
method of purposive Samling by the number of respondents 38 people, and
secondary data obtained through interviews with the manager
pariwisata.garutkab.go.id website, observations in field, as well as library
research. The results suggest that users of the website pariwisata.garutkab.go.id
assess the information content, usability of information, and visual design is good
enough to meet the information needs.
