Program S1 Ilmu Kedokteran gigi FKG USU. Saya sedang melakukan penelitian
yang berjudul: Hubungan Skor PUFA dengan Indeks Massa Tubuh pada Anak
6-12 Tahun di SD Kecamatan Medan Polonia dan Kecamatan Medan Johor,
dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan indeks massa tubuh pada kelompok anak
usia 6-12 tahun yang memiliki PUFA/pufa dibandingkan kelompok anak tanpa
PUFA/pufa. Manfaat penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi kepada
orang tua dan guru mengenai dampak karies yang tidak dirawat.
Karies atau gigi berlubang merupakan penyakit yang sering terjadi pada anak.
Apabila karies tidak dirawat akan menyebabkan rasa sakit sehingga nafsu makan
anak menjadi berkurang dan dapat mempengaruhi turunnya berat badan. Dalam
penelitian ini akan dilakukan pengukuran berat badan dengan menggunakan
timbangan digital dan pengukuran tinggi badan menggunakan meteran gulungan yang
berlangsung selama dua menit, kemudian akan dilanjutkan dengan pemeriksaan
rongga mulut menggunakan kaca mulut, sonde dan senter yang berlangsung selama 6
menit. Petugas yang ikut serta dalam penelitian adalah mahasiswa Fakultas
Kedokteran Gigi USU bersama peneliti.

data yang ada dalam penelitian ini akan dirahasiakan dan digunakan untuk
