CHRISTOVORUS SINTONG SITUMORANG: Kajian Kondisi Vegetasi Dan Tajuk
Hutan Alam Yang Belum Terganggu. Dibimbing oleh BUDI UTOMO dan AFIFUDDIN
DALIMUNTHE.
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Hutan Simpulan Angin Kabupaten Deli Serdang.
Yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi vegetasi dan tajuk hutan alam yang belum
terganggu. Penelitian ini adalah suatu langkah awal untuk mengkaji kondisi hutan alam
yang belum terganggu yang tidak mengalami banjir pada saat hujan. Faktor yang diamati
dalam penelitian ini yaitu vegetasi yang tumbuh pada hutan dan humus hutan serta
panjang akar lateral pada pohon sampel.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 12 jenis vegetasi yang tumbuh pada Hutan
Simpulan Angin. Ketersedian humus hutan yang memadai di lantai hutan mampu
berperan besar dalam penyerapan air. Panjang akar lateral pada 12 pohon sampel yang
tumbuh Hutan Simpulan Angin tidak berbanding jauh dengan lebar tajuk pohon yang
diamati.

Forest Vegetation And The Not Impaired. Supervised by BUDI UTOMO and
AFIFUDDIN DALIMUNTHE.
This research was conducted at the Simpulan Angin Forest Deli Serdang. Which aims to
determine the condition of the vegetation and the natural forest canopy undisturbed. This
study is a first step to assess the condition of natural forests undisturbed were not flooded
during the rains. Factors that observed in this study is the vegetation that grows in the
forest and forest humus and root length lateral on the sample tree.
The results showed that there are 12 types of vegetation growing on the Simpulan Angin
Forest. Availability of adequate forest humus on the forest floor is able to play a major
role in the absorption of water. Lateral root length at 12 sample trees that grow Simpulan
Angin Forest was not much compared with the observed width of the tree canopy.
