Medan Science Museum (Arsitektur Rekreasi)
Abstract
Nowadays, the advanced science and technology in the developing world very quickly. Indonesia's young generation
is expected to follow these developments. To the need for proper education. However, formal education in schools
sometimes provide a high saturation level for the children, so that when school, children tend to seek entertainment
recreation to eliminate fatigue. So we need a theme that also provide education for the children, a method of
learning and recreation. Medan Science Museum is to fulfil the needs if it. Application of recreational architecture
themes is expected to create an recreation atmosphere that is expected to be present in a place of education. A
place where one can get though science was playing. Because students especially in preschool and elementary
school can catch more things and new horizons through experiences, adventures and direct interaction.

Abstrak
Saat ini, kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi di dunia berkembang dengan sangat cepat. Generasi muda
Indonesia diharapkan dapat mengikuti perkembangan tersebut. Untuk itu perlu untuk pendidikan yang tepat. Namun,
pendidikan formal di sekolah kadang-kadang memberikan tingkat kejenuhan tinggi untuk anak-anak, sehingga
ketika sekolah anak-anak cenderung mencari rekreasi hiburan untuk menghilangkan penat. Sehingga diperlukan
suatu hiburan yang juga memberikan pendidikan bagi anak-anak, sebuah metode belajar serta tempat rekreasi.
Medan Science Museum yang dirancang disini dimaksudkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut. Penerapan tema
arsitektur rekreasi diharapkan dapat menciptakan suasana rekreasi yang diharapkan hadir dalam tempat pendidikan.
Tempat dimana seseorang bisa mendapatkan ilmu walaupun sedang bermain. Karena siswa terutama pada usia
prasekolah dan sekolah dasar lebih dapat menangkap hal-hal dan wawasan baru melalui pengalaman, petualangan
dan interaksi langsung.
