An action verb is a word that describes an action. Examples:
Combine flour and baking powder. Beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl until light-
coloured. Stir in the flour and baking powder mixture.
Instructions and recipes consist of three parts. They are: a. What is going to be made or done goal or aim, e.g. making homemade
candy. b. Things needed to achieve the goal ingredients, materials, equipment, e.g.
water, powdered sugar, corn syrup, etc. c. The way how to achieve the goal steps or instruction, e.g. sprinkle thick
coat of powdered sugar.
