end the shipment by burning the cages and freeing the people from slavery. The decision that Kelsea takes affects her people. It is also showing the humanity side
of Kelsea. Her people might be endangered because the Mort will be angry because of her decision and they will invade Tearling once again. Kelsea thinks it
will be wise for stopping the Treaty and face the Mort invasion once again than keeping her people suffering from the slavery. She also shows the justice by
helping the poor to get their life back. Kelsea is being brave to take the risk. She knows the Mort invasion can
be an end for her people too, but she decides to fight back. She does not lose her hope for winning and giving her people a proper life that they demand. What
Kelsea does affects her reputation. She is praised as a saviour. The people of Tearling adore and love her for her courages to take the risk of Mort Invasion. She
is successful to be the True Queen of Tearling for what she has done.
3. Fight for Human Rights
Kelsea’s brave characteristic contributes many times in Kelsea’s problem solving. She shows this characteristics when she has a conflict with Lady
Andrews. They debate about the Treaty when Kelsea hold a hearing in Keep’s
Hall. Many nobles are attending the hearing and watching Kelsea’s debate. Kelsea
argues for her people while Lady Andrews insists to recover the Mort Treaty. Kelsea wants to stop sending the slave for Mortmesne which is the main
course of the treaty. She does not want to see more people suffer from the Treaty. On the contrary, Lady Andrews are helpless defending her land on the countryside
of Tearling. She and most of the nobles are going to lose their properties. Kelsea thinks that property is an object that is affordable in the future. She also thinks
that the life and the rights of her people are more important than Lady Andrews and the No
bles’s properties. This is the reason that Kelsea has shown the moral value of justice. She does not want to sacrifice her poor people only for properties.
She wants to save the poor from losing their life because of the Treaty and she wants to treat them equally with the nobles. On the other hand, not only the nobles
who are losing their properties, Kelsea is also losing more than they are. Kelsea will lose the respect of their people and she will lose more of her people.
The writer describes what Kelsea does is a wise way to achieve the True Queen’s reputation. She fights for the life of her people, their safety, and a proper
life for their future.
4. Be Consistent and Never Stop Believing
The last message can be seen through Kelsea’s persistence. She wants to
chase the illegal shipment which is done by Thorne. Thorne succeeds in doing illegal shipment over the countryside of Tearling secretly
. Kelsea and the Queen’s Guards fail to protect the people on the countryside. The only way that can be
done by Kelsea is to prevent them passing the Tearling ’s borderline with
Mortmesne. Once the shipment passes the border, it is an end for them for going back
to Tearling. Before Kelsea pursues them, Laza rus and The Queens’s Guards do
not allow her to do it. They prevent Kelsea from doing such a foolish thing and PLAGIAT MERUPAKAN TINDAKAN TIDAK TERPUJI
they also think it i s just a bad dream which is not real. Kelsea’s bravery is shown
when she decides to go alone in the middle of the night. It is done by her because if she wastes more time, she will lose more people. The writer describes that the
action Kelsea take shows her humanity side. She is willing to sacrifice herself for the goods of someone else.
The Queen’s Guards feels hesitated for following Kelsea and they also upset with Kelsea’s decision. They see no proof about the ongoing illegal
shipment. In the end, the Queen’s Guards feels guilty for not believing on their Queen. They apologize for not believing Kelsea. If Kelsea does not follow her
heart, and is not persistent, she will lose her people on the countryside. She will feel guilty for not chasing them while knowing they are kidnapped and she can
not defend her reputation as a True Queen of Tearling. From theexplanation above , the writer concludes that two characteristics
that Kelsea has helps her much in any situation that she has faced. Kelsea is able to show the message by solving the problem based on her characteristics.
Kelsea’s action is also showing the message that contains the moral value of justice and
humanity. Those evidences above show the reader that Kelsea can be the True Queen of Tearling.
