the lesson so that they cannot get maximum attention from their students.
Participant 1 Before teaching, practice teacher may find a reference of how to
set a good and interesting induction to get full attention of their students from books or online sources such as e-book, youtube, or
many websites that are created to help teacher such as busyteacher.org, for example.
Participant 2 A practice teacher may actually prepare more than one activities to
grab students‟ attention. So, if in case he fails to grab students‟ attention with one activity, he can come up with the other activities
that have been prepared before to get maximum attention from the students.
Participant 3 A practice teacher should tell the whole class the objectives of the
lesson clearly. By knowing the objectives or the importance of the lesson, students usually will follow the lesson well.
Participant 4 In my opinion, a practice teacher should know the students‟
interest. By having a chit chat with the students, maybe outside the teaching and learning times, the practice teacher can know
what interests the students most. So, before starting lesson, the practice teacher may start to ask his students to have a small
discussion about the things that they are interested in, football and

beginning of the class, which is important.
Participant 5 A practice teacher can use catchy activities like playing videos so
that the students will pay attention to the front of the class or maybe a practice teacher can talk about interesting or funny
stories. And maybe the use of media can be more effective to gain students‟ attention.
Participant 6 Using games to catch students‟ attention at the beginning of the
class to gain attention is helpful, I think. I did it several times and I could see that I got my students‟ attention well with the
inclusion of games.
