communication.
This view strengthen Vermer’s view above, that words should be mastered earlier than grammar because without words, we cannot use the structure and functions.
Paying attention to the statements, it is known that mastering vocabulary is very important to be successful in using language.
While Cross 1992: 5 states that a major aim of most teaching programmes is to help students to gain large vocabulary of useful words.
