Strengthening Naional Connecivity The development of center of excellence in each economic corridor
The integraion of the four components of naional connecivity will be formulated into a naional connecivity vision, which is: ‘LOCALLY INTEGRATED, GLOBALLY CONNECTED’.
Locally Integrated
is a connecivity system to support an efecive and eicient movement of goods, services, and informaion, within the country. Therefore, the integraion of transportaion nodes, inter-
modal connecivity and communicaion networks are important elements to strengthen local and naional connecivity.
Transportaion hubs seaports, airports, terminals, staions, and center of distribuion, etc. should be integrated eiciently and efecively with the transport network and inter-modal transportaion faciliies.
Communicaion and informaion networks also need to be integrated to support informaion low, paricularly informaion related to trading, inancial, and other electronic-based aciviies.
The governance of low of goods, informaion, and inancial informaion must be executed eiciently and efecively, on ime, and can be monitored through virtual informaion and communicaion network. This
system covers procurement, storagewarehousing, transportaion, distribuion, and delivery of goods in accordance with the type, quality, quanity, ime and place demanded by producers and consumers, staring
from the point of origin to its desinaion point.
The above menioned strategy to strengthen naional connecivity is aimed at unifying the country economically and encourage more equitable economic growth across the regions.
Globally Connected is a connecivity system aimed at connecing the country with the rest of the world via a system of global connecivity through a network of internaional gatewayexchange located at the major
seaport and airport supported by custom and trade faciliies.

To realize this vision, the strengthening of connecivity that integrates growth centers inside economic corridors, as well as between economic corridors is required. The strengthening of internaional
connecivity especially to facilitate internaional trade as well as an entry point for foreign tourists is also required. Figure 2.5

Growth Centers Sector Locus
In order to implement the strategy, the following key points need to be noted: 1 enhance the low of goods, services and informaion, 2 reduce logisics costs, 3 reduce cost ineiciencies 4 realize equitable access
across the region, and 5 realize the synergy between growth centers.

The focus of naional connecivity strengthening is to support acceleraion and expansion of Indonesia economic development through:
INTRA ECONOMIC
CORRIDOR CONNECTIVITY
• Improve and build roads and shipping lanes on the corridor • Improve developed infrastructure faciliies and railways passenger and goods
• Improve local access road connecing the centers of growths with support faciliies port, energy and with
the hinterland as well as with non economic corridor areas • Revitalize the ferry transport, local port, and opimizing shipping pioneer and PSO mechanism
• Improve air transportaion and pioneer aviaion • Develop backbone extension network that covers into growth centers and main aciviies centers
• Equitable infrastructure access which covers growth centers and main acivity centers, and also strengthen
backhaul network • Adequate radio spectrum frequency allocaion
• Infrastructure sharing implementaion including passive infrastructure towers, pipes, poles, right of way as well as non telecommunicaion operator
• Uilize green technology equipment to support electricity provision in non commercial areas • Development of naional internet exchange at growth centers
INTER ECONOMIC
CORRIDOR CONNECTIVITY
• Encourage the eicient and efecive low of goods and services inter-economic corridor to enhance regional and global compeiiveness
• Reduce logisical and economic cost for inter-economic corridor delivery of goods and services • Appoint several sea ports and airports as collecion and distribuion centers and also enhance its capacity
by implemening integrated logisic port management • Developed interconnecion between primary ports collecion and distribuion centers and local ports
and also between primary ports and internaional hub ports • Integrate muli-backbone mode opical iber, satellite, microwave
• Strengthen opical iber backbone infrastructure: development in Kalimantan Economic Corridor, Sulawesi Economic Corridor, Papua – Kepulauan Maluku Economic Corridor, and also integraion with services at
western economic corridor • Uilize informaion and communicaion technology to facilitate trading aciviies as inaportnet system
development applied at regional ports
INTERNATIONAL TRADE LOGISTIC
• Prepare and assign sea ports and airports in western and eastern Indonesia as internaional hubs • Opimizaion the operaion of Naional Single Window NSW system at internaional hubs ports and
airports through the improvement of Informaion and Communicaion Technology service. This strategy was set up in order to implement Customs Advance Trade System CATS and NSW and also make
connecion between naional supply chain with ASEAN and global supply chain at internaional ports. • Enhance eicient and producive operaion of internaional ports and airports through the
implementaion of integrated management logisic system • Open the new internaional gateways links to foreign countries as an alternaive to exising links
• Develop internaional exchange at growth centers • Improve regional and global connecivity infrastructure to achieve ASEAN logisic integraion on 2013,
ASEAN market integraion on 2015, and global market integraion on 2020.
