EXPENDITURES Cost of Revenue
Our 2016 cost of revenue of IDR417.7 billion was 7.0 lower than the corresponding igure in 2015. This reduction was
primariy due to increasing economies of scale. Our cost of revenue comprises of site repair and maintenance cost,
security expense, insurance premium, electricity expense, and amortization expenses for land lease and licenses.
All cost of revenue items increased in line with increase in revenues, with the exception of amortization expenses for
land lease and licenses, electricity, and insurance premium.
Land lease and licenses cost - amortization is a non-cash item that is comprised of amortization of ground lease fees paid
in advance for tower sites constructed on leased land, fees paid to building owners under site license agreements for
our DAS networks and licenses costs paid in advance. Land lease fees are amortized over a period that corresponds
to the term of the relevant land lease agreement, whereas licenses costs are amortized over the useful life of those
licenses. For our acquisitions of tower companies and tower portfolios, we generally allocate the purchase price to
investment properties, after deducting, where possible, the portion allocated to land lease fees paid in advance.
Repair and maintenance expense decreased by 5.0 to IDR120.8 billion in 2016 from IDR127.1 billion in 2015,
primarily due to a reduction in prices from our sub- contractors.
Land lease and licences cost - amortization decreased by 8.8 to IDR208.0 billion in 2016 from IDR228.1 billion in 2015,
primarily due to a decrease in licences cost amortization in 2016.
Pengeluaran Beban Pokok Pendapatan
Beban pokok pendapatan kami di tahun 2016 sebesar Rp417,7 miliar, merupakan penurunan sebesar 7,0 dari tahun 2015.
Penurunan ini dikarenakan eisiensi dari skala ekonomi kami yang semakin besar. Beban pokok pendapatan kami terdiri
dari biaya perbaikan dan pemeliharaan site, biaya keamanan, premi asuransi, biaya listrik, dan beban amortisasi sewa lahan
dan perijinan. Semua biaya dalam beban pokok pendapatan meningkat sejalan dengan peningkatan pendapatan kecuali
beban amortisasi sewa tanah dan perijinan, biaya listrik, dan premi asuransi.
Biaya amortisasi sewa tanah dan perijinan merupakan biaya non-kas, yang terdiri dari amortisasi biaya sewa tanah yang
dibayar di muka untuk site menara yang dibangun atas lahan disewa dan juga biaya sewa yang dibayarkan kepada pemilik
gedung berdasarkan perjanjian sewa site untuk jaringan IBS serta biaya perijinan yang dibayarkan di muka. Biaya sewa
tanah diamortisasi selama periode sesuai syarat perjanjian sewa tanah yang berlaku, sedangkan biaya perijinan
diamortisasi atas masa manfaat perijinan tersebut. Untuk akuisisi perusahaan menara dan portofolio menara, kami
secara umum mengalokasikan harga pembelian ke properti investasi, setelah mengurangi, bila dimungkinkan, porsi yang
teralokasi pada biaya sewa tanah yang dibayar di muka.
Biaya perbaikan dan pemeliharaan turun sebesar 5,0 menjadi Rp120,8 miliar pada tahun 2016 dari Rp127,1 miliar di
tahun 2015. Penurunan tersebut terutama dikarenakan oleh penurunan harga dari sub-kontraktor kami.
Amortisasi sewa lahan dan perizinan turun sebesar 8,8 menjadi Rp208,0 miliar pada tahun 2016 dari Rp228,1 miliar
pada tahun 2015 dikarenakan oleh penurunan amortisasi perijinan di 2016.

Operating Expenses
Our operating expenses, primarily comprised of salaries, wages and allowances, amounted to IDR315.6 billion in
2016. This represents a 1.3 increase in 2016 compared to IDR311.4 billion in 2015, primarily due to salaries and wages
being lat year-on-year at IDR174.6 billion in 2016. We did see an increase in depreciation from IDR18.6 billion in 2015
to IDR30.5 billion in 2016, due to a one-of reclassiication event in 2015. We also had a decrease in oice rent from
IDR20.1 billion in 2015 to IDR16.2 billion in 2016 due to the relocation of our head oice.
Income from Operations
As a result, our income from operations increased 11.9 to IDR2,977.9 billion in 2016 from IDR2,660.8 billion in 2015
and is in line with the increase in the Company s revenue and the reduction in operating expenses.
EBITDA and EBITDA Margin
Our EBITDA increased 10.6 to IDR3,220.1 billion in 2016 from IDR2,911.2 billion in 2015. Our EBITDA Margins were
86.8 in 2016 and 85.1 in 2015, respectively. The increase in our EBITDA margins was a result of economies of scale
due to higher operating leverage. This resulted in reductions to our cost, which in turn resulted in an improved EBITDA
margins.
Other Income ”Charges - Net
In 2016, this account recorded other charges – net of IDR1,614.0 billion in 2016 compared to IDR1,571.6 billion in
2015, primarily due to:
• Increase in the increase of fair value of investment properties from IDR196.0 billion in 2015 to IDR213.8
billion in 2016. This account is a non–cash item and comprises of the diference between carrying value and
fair market value of our investment properties at the end of the relevant accounting period.
• Increase of inancial expenses – interest from IDR1,472.5 billion in 2015 to IDR1,691.8 billion in 2016. This increase
