D. Limitation
There  were  some  limitations  that  were  found  in  this  study.  The  first limitation was the questionnaire which was adopted by the writer is in English
version.  In  order  to  prevent  the  misunderstanding,  it  would  be  better  if  it  is translated properly by more than one expert. However, the writer here is only
helped by one expert to translate the 33 items. The  second  limitation  was  the  reading  score  which  was  directly
obtained  from  the  teacher.  In  other  word,  the  reading  instrument  was conducted  by  the  teacher.  It  might  be  better  if  the  reading  instrument  was
made by the writer so the data might be more accurate. Many  factors  such  as  students’  condition  and  situation  when
accomplishing  both  tests  anxiety  questionnaire  and  reading  test  and  the environment in which the tests took place also could become the limitation of
this  study.  Those  limitations  and  problems  mentioned  above  might  influence the reliability, validity and credibility of this research finding.

CHAPTER V CONCLUSIONS, IMPLICATIONS AND SUGGESTIONS
A. Conclusions
This  study  is  purposed  to  find  out  the  correlation  between  students’ anxiety and their English reading skill at tenth year students of SMK Negeri 3
Kota Tangerang. The conclusions of this study were explained here. The  conclusion  can  be  sum  up  that  there  is  negative  significant
correlation between students’ anxiety and their English reading skill of SMK Negeri  3  Kota  Tangerang  in  which  most  of  students  with  higher  anxiety  got
lower  English  reading  ability  and  students  with  lower  anxiety  got  higher English reading  ability.The coefficient correlation r

proved that the correlation is significant.
Afterward,  the  result  of  coefficient  of  determination  R  is  57.9,  in which  this  value  describes  the  contribution  of  students’  anxiety  to  students’
English  reading  skill  is  fairly  high.  Meanwhile,  the  remains  of  coefficient determination R is 42.1 shows that there are other aspects that effect their
achievement  in  learning  English;  such  as students’  motivation,  students’
inter est in learning English, students’ previous knowledge, students’ physical
situation  or  concentration  in  learning  English,  and  so  on.  Hence  it  can  be concluded
that  there  is  a  negative  and  strong  correlation  between  students’ anxiety and their English reading skill of tenth year students of SMK Negeri 3
Kota Tangerang.
B. Implications
Based  on  the  conclusion  arrived  from  the  research  finding  of  this study,  it  was  found  that  the
students’ anxiety in learning a foreign language has  significant  influence  in  stu
dents’  English  reading  skill  of  the  tenth  year students  of  SMK  Negeri  3  Kota  Tangerang.  Consequently,  it  is  highly
recommended  to  the  English  teachers  of  SMK  Negeri  3  Kota  Tangerang  to design  the  comfortable  classroom  situation  to  decrease  stude
nts’  anxiety. Therefore,  the  students  can  increase  their  language  competence  as  well,
especially in learning English as a foreign language.
C. Suggestions
From  this  study,  the  writer  would  like  to  offer  some  suggestions  in teaching  and  learning  English,  in  which  in  our  country  English  is  a  foreign
language.  Hopefully,  the  suggestions  are  able  to  improve  the  quality  of teaching and learning English.
The suggestions are tended to: 1.
Students
The  result  of  this  study  showed  that  the  correlation  of  students’  anxiety and  students’  English  reading  skill  is  quite  high.  Students  should
positively  think  that  English  is  important  for  their  life  in  the  future, especially Akomodasi Perhotelan AP students and Tata Boga students of
SMK  N  3  Kota  Tangerang.  After  graduate  from  this  school,  students  are sued to work in which English is very needed in this field. Then, students
need  to  reduce  their  anxiety  in  dealing  with  the  English  subject  so  the English achievement can increase.
2.
Teachers
Teacher  should  improve  their  teaching  way  through  come  close  to  the students  in  order  to  make  class  situation  warmer  and  more  comfortable.
Furthermore, teacher should established learning situation more attractive, fascinating  and  motivating.  Thus,  students  might  be  less  anxious  and
learning English purpose can be completed well.

Other Researchers
To other researchers who are interested in doing a research about learning anxiety,  especially  in  foreign  language  field,  this  research  might  be  a
relevant  previous  study  that  can  be  used  to  conduct  a  further  research relating  to  students’  anxiety  and  language  achievement,  especially  in
reading  skill.  The  next  researchers  are  able  to  add  the  technique  of  data collecting, such as observation and interview, in order to obtain the result
which is more accurate than the previous study.
