phrases 1 datum and verb phrase 1 datum. This research also different from the second previous study was conducted
by Safitri about English register in sport column taken from Kompas. She found linguistic form in sport column of Kompas; namely word and phrase. She also
found the comparison between lexical and contextual meaning and the change of meaning of English register in Sport Column of Kompas.
