MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

BETWEEN
THE CENTER FOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING
OF.THE DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF
THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
AND
THE DIPLOMATIC INSTITUTE TO THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN
AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBUC OF BULGARIA
ON
DIPLOMATIC EDUCATION AND TRAINING COOPERATION

The Center for Education and Training of the Department of Foreign Affairs
of the Republic of Indonesia and the Diplomatic Institute to the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, hereinafter referred to as -.he
Parties";
DESIRING to strengthen the existing friendly bilateral relations through
doser cooperation in the field of education and training of the Parties;

CONSIDERING the need to develop and foster an education and training
cooperation as well as cooperation between the centres of education and

training of the Parties;
PURSUANT to the pievailing laws and regulations of the two countries;

HAVE AGREED AS FOLLOWS :
Article 1

08JECTIVE8
The objectives of this Memorandum of Understanding hereinafter referred
to as the "MMU" are to:
(a) Provide a framework for cooperation in the field of education and
training for the diplomats of both countries;

(b) Create conditions for the maintaining regular contacts and
cooperation between the diplomatic education
and
training
institutions of the Parties;
(c) Promote human resources development for the diplomats of both
countries.

Artlcle2
AREA OF COOPERATION
The area of cOoperation under this may consist of:
(a) Exchange of information on their respective diplomatic courses or
seminars, workshops and other similar programs on issues of mutual
interest;
(b) Exchange of lecturers with a view to sharing their respective
knowledge and experience with ledures and students of the other
Party;
(c) Exchange of publications and o1her printed materials published by
the Parties or other institutions in their respective countries on topics
of common interest;
(d) Exchange of students.

Article 3

IMPLEMENTAnONS
( 1) The Parties will hold consultations as deemed necessary in
implementing this MoU;

(2) For the implementation of this MoU, the Parties shall draw up the
procedures, plans and recommended programs of cooperation with a
view to achieving its objective.
Article 4
SETTLEMENT OF DISPUTE
Any disputes between the Parties concerning the interpretation and/or
implementation of this MoU shall be settled amicably through
consultations and negotiations.

Article 5
AMENDMENT
This MoU can be reviewed or amended at any time by mutual consent by
the Parties. Such revisions or amendments shall come into effect on such
date as may be determined by the Parties and shall form an integral part
of this MoU.

Article 6
ENTRY INTO FORCE, DURATION AND TERMINATION
(1) This MoU shall enter into force on the date of its signing.
(2) This MoU shall remain in force for a period of three (3) years and

shall automatically be extended for one ( 1) year consea.rtively unless
tenninated in writing by either Party three (3) months prior to
expiration of this MoU.
(3) The tennination of this MoU shall not affect the validity and duration
of any ongoing programs or activities made under this MoU.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the undersigned have signed this MoU.

Done in duplicate on 31 May 2006 in Sofia in the English language.
