LETTER OF INTENT
BETWEEN
THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE KINGDOM OF SWEDEN
ON
COOPERATION IN THE CREATIVE INDUSTRIES
The Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of the
Kingdom of Sweden;
CONSIDERING the importance of innovative, dynamic and sustainable creative
industries for their economic and social development;
DESIRING to strengthen and further develop existing cooperation between the
two countries in the creative industries, thereby contributing to mutually beneficial
developments in this sector, on the basis of the principle of equality, mutual
respect and benefit pursuant to their prevailing laws and regulations;
RECOGNISING the existing fruitful cooperation between Indonesia and Sweden
across a number of fields and that such cooperation will further promote and
advance the development of existing friendly relations and fruitful cooperation
between the two countries;
REAFFIRMING the commitment of Indonesia and Sweden to develop the content
of their common future agendas and to share knowledge and experience on
innovative, dynamic and sustainable solutions in the creative industries;
DO HEREBY EXPRESS their intention to enhance their existing cooperation in
the creative industries in a number of feasible areas of common interest, including
but not limited to, fashion, music, gaming, digital development, culinary, film ,
crafts, product design, interior design, and their related structures and services;
DO ALSO AFFIRM their intention to encourage and strengthen co-operation in
these areas, as well as exchanges of experience between stakeholders active in
the sector.
FURTHER DECLARE their intention to develop an appropriate instrument for joint
cooperation and to evaluate this Letter of Intent after a period of two (2) years.
