CONSlDERING the need to foster the existing bilateral economic relations by seeking new
breakthroughs, which involve business executives of the two countries;

BEAR.ING IN MIND acknowledging their countnes rights and obligations under the GATTIWTO
HA VE AGREED AS FOLLOWS:
Article l
The Panies shall establish Task force Teams on Trade and Industry Co-opcracion. The aim or the
establishment of the Task Force is to promote and imensify dU"ect business cooperation between the
two councries. in accordance with the prevailing laws a11d regulations of tht: respective countries.


Article 2
The: composicion of membership of Task Force Te:i.ms shall be detennincd according co its
cequ1rcmems and conslSls or clcmc:nts from the private sectors of the Chamber M Commerce and
lndw;try and other related busml!ss inscirucions under the supervision I advisory of che soverruncr1t
of the cwo countries.
Article 3

The Tcnns of Reference of che Task Force Teams shall cover the following :

To promote industrfal co-operation in order to boost two-w:i.y investment
countries .

To identify suitable projects both in Indonesia and Namibia for mutually beneficial
collaboration between companies of the two countries.

To identify specific areas of co-operation in Industry. Shipping and Insurance with parocu\ar
reference co the private sector.

To develop co-operation of the Banking and Financial Inscirutions of the two countries.

To develop co-operation of the cwo countries in the Tourism sector.

7)

To arrange mutual visits of delegations and render assistance in holding bilateral meetings
of businessmen of the: cwo coUilIIies.

8)

To assist each other in the organization and participation in national, international and special
eXhibition fairs. seminars, and symposia held in Indonesia and Namibia.

Atticlc 4
The Task Foret Teams shall reside i1l their respect: . c capital cities; Jakaru - {ndonesia and
Windhoek. - Namibia


Article 5
The Task. Force Teams shall meet at least once every year alternately in the capital city of each
country or according to requiremenc. The firsl meeting of the t。セォ@

Article 6

Article 8
This Memorandum shall come into force on rhe date of its signing. and shalt be vaiid for a period
of l (1.h.rcc) years and shall tacitly extended for successive 1 (one) year period.
This Memorandum of Understanding may be renewed. ex.tended, altered or tenninated by cit.her

Article 9
This Memorandum of Understanding may be added to or amended at any murually convenient time
through wtincn consent of the two Parties.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF the undersigned, have signed the present Memorandum of Understanding

Done in Windhoek on this Thirty First day of March 2000, in two original copies in English
Language. All texts arc equally authencic.
