CITY COOPERATION

The Municipal Government of Padanq, Province of
West· Sumatra, Indonesia, ｾｮ､＠
the· Municipal Government
of Hildesheim, Federal state of Lower Saxony,
Federal Republic of Germany (hereinafter ref erred to as
."the Par·t ies"),
SEARING IN MIND the Agreement between the Government of
.t he ·Republic of Indonesi·a and the Government of the
Federal Republic of Germany regarding Technical
Cooperation, sioned in Jakarta ｯｾ＠
9 ａｰｲｩｬ
Ｍ ｾＹＸＴ［＠
DESIROUS of strengt-h ening th·e existing tie_s between
their nations. and the· good relations between their
respe·ctive · cities and people;
RECOGNIZING that· it. is of mutual interest . for both
Parties to promote scientific, economic and social
' progress in their respective cities to the best of
their ability ｡ｮｾ＠

that an arrangement for technical,
economic, ｳｯ｣ｩｾｬ＠
and cultural cooperaiion would
substantially c'o ntribute to , that aim;
CONSIDERING that i 't would be useful to establish a
general framework within which such cooperation could
be realized;
HAVE AGREED AS FOLLOWS:

ARTICLE 1
The Parties· shall establish city ｣ｯｰ･ｲ｡ｴｩｾ＠
to promote
and expand effective and _mutually beneficial technical
cooperation in ·the development of both Municipalities

in confor·mity with the prevailing· laws and regulations
and administrative procedure in their respective
countries.
ARTICLE 2
The cooperation between the Parties shall comprise but

exchange and training of personnel and students;
exchange of information:
cuYtural exchange;

cooperation.

each Party shall
appoint . a represen.t ative for the cooperation .

ARTICLE 4

In order t ·o mafntain and strengthen the friendly
relationship, the .Parties will ｨｯｾ､＠
､ｩｳ｣ｵｾｯｮ＠
on any
matter- deemed·· necessary through_ the representatives.
ARTICLE 5
Any dispute ar1s1ng out of .the interpretation or
ｩｭｰｬ･ｮｴ｡ｾ＠
of this ａｲ｡ｮｧ･ｾｴ
Ｍ ｳｨ｡ｬ＠
be ｳ･ｾｴｬ､＠
amicably by consultation or .negotiation between the
Part_ies.
ARTICLE 6
This Arrangement may be modified by mutual agreement
both Parties, such modification to be in
writing.

ARTICLE 7
This ·Arrangement shall enter into force on the qate of
signing and . shall remain in force until terminated by
either Party.

written notification by either
Party to the other, ｡ｾ､＠
such termination shall have

ｭｯｾｴｨｳ＠
from the date of the ｮｯｴｩｦ｣｡ｾＮ＠
