Gambaran Proteksi Radiasi pada Pekerja Bidang Radiologi dan Penerapannya di RSUD Tarutung Tahun 2017

ABSTRAK
Radiologi diagnostik merupakan bentuk pemanfaatan sinar-X di dunia
medik untuk menegakkan diagnosis ataupun melakukan kegiatan intervensional,
yang dapat memberikan bahaya radiasi terhadap berbagai pihak, termasuk pekerja
radiologi. Proteksi radiasi bertujuan untuk mengurangi bahaya radiasi yang
diterima oleh pekerja akibat paparan radiasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah
untuk mengetahui penerapan sistem proteksi radiasi di unit radiologi RSUD
Tarutung.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan
observasional, wawancara, dan check list.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di RSUD Tarutung terdapat 1
Petugas Proteksi Radiasi, 1 fisikawan medik, 6 radiografer, dan 1 dokter spesialis
yang tidak bekerja secara tetap. Tersedia rekaman mengenai pelaksanaan proteksi
radiasi. Telah diselenggarakan pelatihan proteksi radiasi untuk Petugas Proteksi
Radiasi, namun untuk personil lainnya masih belum. Menyelenggarakan
pemantauan dosis radiasi terhadap semua personil, tetapi personil belum pernah
mendapatkan program pemantauan kesehatan dari rumah sakit. Bangunan fasilitas
telah sesuai dengan ketentuan yang berlaku. Terdapat 3 buah apron Pb, 1 tabir
radiasi, dan 2 pasang sarung tangan Pb. Telah dilakukan uji kesesuain pada setiap
pesawat sinar-X.
Sebagai kesimpulan, terdapat beberapa poin proteksi radiasi yang masih

belum sesuai dengan persyaratan proteksi radiasi yang berlaku. Seperti
keanggotaan personil pelatihan dan pementauan kesehatan untuk personil, dan
kelengkapan peralatan protektif radiasi. Disarankan untuk melakukan perekrutan
dokter spesialis yang bekerja secara tetap; diselenggarakannya pelatihan proteksi
radiasi untuk senantiasa menunjang kemampuan tiap-tiap personil dan
pemantauan kesehatan pada setiap personil sebagai upaya pengendalian efek
negatif; serta melengkapi semua jenis peralatan protektif radiasi untuk
memaksimalkan proteksi radiasi.

ABSTRACT
Radiology is activity that utilizing X-rays in medical to improve diagnosis
or give intervention activity, that can make radiation hazard for anybody,
including workers. Radiation protection is purpose to reduce the radiation
hazards for workers for consequence of radiation exposure. The purpose of this
study is to determine the implementation of radiation protection in radiology unit
of Tarutung Hospital.

This kind of research is descriptive study by using observational
approach, interview, and check list.
The results showed that in Tarutung Hospital there is 1 Radiation
Protection Officer, 1 medical physicist, 6 radiographers, and 1 specialist who not
working regularly. Organize radiation protection training for Radiation
Protection Officer, but not including to the other personnel. Organizing
monitoring of radiation doses for all personnel, but personnel have never received
a health monitoring program from the hospital. The building have compliance
with the obtain regulations. There are 3 Pb aprons, 1 shielding, and 2 Pb gloves.
Organizing fit test for all X-ray machines in this unit.
In conclusion, there are still some points of radiation protection
implementation, which is still not in accordance with the obtain radiation
protection requirements. Like, component of personnel, training and health
monitoring for personnel, and the completeness of radiation equipment.
Suggested to recruit the specialist for working regularly; organizing the radiation
protection training to increase the ability of each personnel and health
monitoring for all personnel as effort to control the negative effects; and
completing the radiation protective equipment to maximize radiation protection.
