MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN
THE DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
AND
THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
OF THE REPUBLIC OF ESTONIA
ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF BILATERAL CONSULTATIONS

The Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia (hereinafter referred to as the Parties),
DESIRING TO promote bilateral relations in various fields;
ACKNOWLEDGING the usefulness of exchange of opinions and consultations
between the two countries at different levels;
PURSUANT TO the prevailing laws and regulations in their respective countries;
HAVE AGREED upon the following:
Article 1
The Parties shall establish political consultations on a regular basis through
exchange of high level delegations as well as during the annual sessions of the
United Nations General Assembly and other international fora.


Article 2

The Parties shall hold these consultations at the high level, alternately in
Indonesia and Estonia for strengthening the process of wide ranging exchange of
views on bilateral and international issues and to review the implementation of
agreements reached between them.
Article 3

The Parties will promote closer co-operation of the two countries in the
international organizations, particularly in the United Nations, through exchange of
views and information.
Article 4

The Parties will facilitate the exchange of information, upon request and where
appropriate, on certain activities of international fora in which one of the two
countries has no participation as a member state.
Article 5

The Parties will promote, within their competence, co-operation of the two
countries in the field of economy, culture, education, science, technology and

tourism providing each other with the relevant information on those areas as well
as encouraging the co-operation between the business persons of both countries.
Article 6

The provision of this Memorandum of Understanding shall be without prejudice to
any other treaties or agreements to which either Party has obligations.
Article 7

This Memorandum of Understanding may be amended by mutual consent of the
Parties.
Article 8

Any dispute between the Parties concerning the interpretation of this
Memorandum of Understanding shall be settled amicably through consultations or
negotiations.



Article 9
1. This Memorandum of Understanding shall enter into force on the date of its

signing
2. This Memorandum of Understanding shall remain in force for a period of
five years and shall be extended automatically for subsequent period of five
years thereafter unless either Party give the other a written notice, six
months in advance of its intention to terminate this Memorandum of
Understanding.
3. The termination of this Memorandum of Understanding shall not affect the
validity and duration of any on-going programs made under this
Memorandum of Understanding.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF the undersigned, have signed this Memorandum of
Understanding.
DONE in duplicate at Jakarta on the tenth day of September in the year two
thousand and seven in English language, both texts being equally authentic.
