ABSTRACT
Nowadays, Dengue Haemoragic Fever (Indonesian called DBD) is still problem o.f'a
ptrblic health in the Palu city. Eradication efforts that have been done routinely in the area,
particular$, vectot eraclication using chemical insecticides, one o.f'thent is conducted through
'abatesasi
using lo,4 of temephos granules .fbr larvasida, with an applicable range of 0.01
mg / l.fbr 8"-12 wieks in the place water reservoirs, potentially as a breeding place oJ'Aedes
oJgypti ancl Aedes albopiclus. l{evertheless, the obtained results were not in line witlt
piposed expectation. lt it study applied experimental ruethod by looking at mortality
reiuction ii lar.vae populations o.f Aedes albopicttts and Aedes aeg))pti at the abate
application ol-both sow-and wrap tuith.five dose levels. It showed that the ability of'Aedes
iigipty and ledes albopictus larvae to stu'vive on the application of a sow abate is < I 2 hours,
