The President of the Republic of Indonesia and His
Majesty the King of Cambodia being -desirous of consolidating
the bond of friendship and of developing peaceful and friendly
relations between the two States in consonance with the spirit
and principles of the

and of the Charter of the United Nations , have decided
to conclude a Treaty of Friendship, and for that purpose have
appointed as their Plenipotentiaries :

ho, having communicated to each other their respective full
powers and found them good in due form, have agreed and signed
the following articles :
ｾｴｩ｣ｬ･＠
I
There shall be perpetual peace and unalterable
friendship between the Republic of' Indonesia .and the Kingdom
of Cambodia.
Article
II
Each of the contracting parties shall be able to appoint
diplomatic representatives , Consuls General , Consuls , Vice-Consuls
and Consular Agents, who shall reside in towns , ports and other
places in each other ' s territory where the corresponding representatives of other countries resid
or in such other places as may be
agreed to.
Consuls General , Consuls, Vice-Consuls and Consular
ents
shall be provided with exequaturs or other valid authorization of
their appointment . Such exequ tur or- authorization is liable to be
•
ithdrawn by the country which issued it if considered necessary.
The reasons f'or the withdrawal shall be indicated wherever possible .
The persons mentioned above shall enjoy on a reciprocal
basis all the rights, privile es , exemptions and immunities that
are accorded to persons of corresponding status of other States .

III
The two Governments agree that their representatives shall
meet from time to time and as often as occasion requires to exchange
views on matters of common interest and to consider ways and means
for mutual cooperation in such matters .
Article
IV
The present Treaty shall be ratified and shall come into
errect on the date of the exchange of ratifications
hich shall
take place as soon as possible in Phnom-Penh.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Plenipotentiaries have signed the
present Treaty in the Indonesian, Cambodian and English languages ,
the English text being, in case of dispute, the authentic text, and
have affixed thereto their seals .
DONE in triplicate in Djakarta the thirteenth day of
February in the year one thousand nine hundred and fifty- nine .

The two Governments agree that their representatives shall
meet from time to time and as often as occasion requires to exchange
views on matters of common interest and to consider ways and means
for mutual cooperation in such matters .
Article
IV
The present Treaty shall be ratified and shall come into
errect on the date of the exchange of ratifications
hich shall
take place as soon as possible in Phnom-Penh.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Plenipotentiaries have signed the
present Treaty in the Indonesian, Cambodian and English languages ,
the English text being, in case of dispute, the authentic text, and
have affixed thereto their seals .
DONE in triplicate in Djakarta the thirteenth day of
February in the year one thousand nine hundred and fifty- nine .
