all 17 participants, for about two participants, comprehend the social function of analytical expositions which was to persuade the reader or listener that something
is the case. There were 5.88 all 17 participants, for about one participant, comprehend the generic structure of recount texts and 76.47, for about 13
participants comprehend the lexicogrammatical features of analytical expositions. For further details of the participants’ level of comprehension of the first
test, focusing on each essential part of the text types identification and purpose, generic structure, and lexicogrammatical features, the researcher provided table
4.7, 4.8, and 4.9 as follows.
