activities from the first meeting until the last meeting that made them uninterested to do the task. The difficulty was that they were confused to write the English
words. Some students might know the English words but they did not know the spelling. Moreover, some of them did not know the English words that they had to
write. However, there was one student who did all the writing activities well. Based on the interview to the student, the write found that her hobby is writing.
She said that she liked to write diary at home. Hence, she preferred to do writing activities rather than reading or drawing. Furthermore, the writer also faced a
difficulty as well as the students. It happened when some of the students did not want to do the writing tasks. Based on the interview results, the writer found that
they did not want to do the task because they did not like writing activity. They prefer to draw because their hobby is drawing.
b. Spatial Intelligence
The learning activities focusing on this intelligence were also implemented in the whole meetings. There were some activities provided to the students related
to this intelligence. The first one was drawing and coloring activity which was implemented in the first, third, and fourth units. The other one was identifying and
classifying some pictures which were implemented in the second, third, and fourth units. Spatial intelligence allows the students to develop their ability in
recognizing, and manipulating patterns Gardner, 1999. He added that children who have high degree of this intelligence may translate the patterns into a
preference for images, diagrams and graphical representations rather than linear text. This statement was proven in this study. The students who did not have any
motivation to do writing activities became very enthusiastic when they had to do some task which gave them an opportunity to draw. This fact was supported by
the interview results. In the interview section with those students, they said that the most interesting activities were the activities which gave them an opportunity
to draw. Moreover, they said that they liked those activities because their hobby is drawing. On the other hand, a student said that she did not like drawing activity
because she could not draw. Thus, by implementing this intelligence each student were given opportunities to learn a certain topic based on their interest.
c. Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence
The learning activities focusing on this intelligence did not exist in all units. It only existed in the first and the second units. However, the type of
activities given in the first and the second units were different. In the first unit the students had to respond to some instructions to point or touch the parts of the
body that were said by the writer or their friends. The other activity was singing a song entitled “My Eyes, My Ears, My Nose, My Mouth”. The students had to
touch the object or part of the body stated in the song. They did it while they were singing. In the second unit, the activity was quite different. The students were
asked to express some feelings according to the pictures given. They had to express them with their partner. Even though the activities in the first and second
meeting were different, the purpose of the implementation was the same. All of those activities were made to give an opportunity to the students to learn the topic
through body movement so that they did not only sit on their chair during the teaching-learning process. Furthermore, it gave an opportunity to the students who
liked learning through physical activities. The students looked enjoyable during the implementation of this intelligence. However, there were some obstacles in
doing those activities. The first obstacle was that some students were very lazy to practice the physical activities. They did not want to stand up. The second
obstacle was that some students were shy in doing the physical activities in the second meeting. They were shy in expressing some feelings of the pictures given
because their friends sometimes laughed at them if they made a funny or strange expression. However, based on the interview results, there were two students who
enjoyed learning through this activity. They said that they would easily remember what they were learning by having physical activities. They felt that they had
experience directly what they were learning through those physical activities.
d. Intrapersonal Intelligence
