2. Result of Hypothetical Test

If the sample has normal distribution, it means Ho hypothesis is accepted. After obtaining the result of the tests, the writer drew the result of data correlation by using scatterplot. Based on the scatterplot, it seemed that there is correlation between students’ adjective and writing descriptive text ability see Appendix 26. Then the writer continued to count the correlation between students’ adjective and writing ability. Because there is no df = 32 on the table, hence the writer used proximate df = 35. It was gotten that r critical = 0.325. The result of hypothesis test is 0.8. Moreover, the result of r critical 0.05 from 34 samples is 0.325. Therefore, it can be seen that the result is significant in the range of 0.05. In this case, Ha is accepted because the score of r observed r critical 0.8 0.325. Then, it can be assumed that there is a correlation of students’ in using adjective and writing descriptive ability. The criteria that could be used to grade the interpretation of the coefficient as table 8 in chapter 3. Based on the table, we could know that the r observed is very high because the value of r observed 0.8 was in the level of 0.80 to 1.00.

D. Discussion

The finding of the research shows that there is correlation of students’ adjective ability and writing descriptive text ability. The result was gotten from collecting and analyzing the data taking from test by using Product Moment formula. There are two
