MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN
NATIONAL AGENCY FOR EXPORT DEVELOPMENT
(NAFED)
THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
AND
JORDAN ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
(JEDCO)
THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN

The National Agency for Export Development (NAFED) and The Jordan
Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO), hereinafter referred to as
"Parties".
BELIEVING firmly in the system of private and public initiatives for economic

development, and wishing firmly to foster the development and the diversification
of commercial exchanges and economic co-operation on mutual advantageous
basis for the benefit of businessmen and industries alike in both countries.
REFERRING to Co-operation Agreement between the Jordan Enterprise

Development Corporation and the National Agency for Export Development, this

Memorandum of Understanding replace the Co-operation Agreement which has
been signed in Amman on May 21 , 2000 between JEDCO and NAFED.
PURSUANT TO the prevailing laws and regulation in their イ・ ウセ・」エゥカ@

countries;

HAVE agreed as follows:
Article I
OBJECTIVE

To encourage and facilitate actions leading to the promotion and development of
commercial exchanges and economic co-operation between interested
companies from both countries.

Article II
SCOPE OF COOPERATION

In order to implement the objectives in the above article 1, the parties here upon

agree to the following:
a. To take steps to carry out a permanent exchange of information in the
economic field (referring to foreign trade, production and export offers of
companies in both countries). The possibilities of co-operation between the
parties in relation to the products of companies and on the organization of
fairs and exhibitions in the Republic of Indonesia and in the Hashemite
Kingdom of Jordan.
b. To give all the support necessary to organize trade missions, participation in
specialized fairs and exhibitions, seminars, conventions, national weeks,
Medpartenariat events, bilateral meetings and other suitable venues.
c. To organize alternatively meetings for representatives of both parties in the
Republic of Indonesia and in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to examine
ways of effecting this agreement and to establish the necessary measures for
the continuous development of economic relations. The date and place of the
meetings shall be decided at least two months in advance.
d. To encourage contacts between commercial organizations and businessmen
as well as the exchange of commercial, industrial and other trade sector
delegations, visit of businessmen from the Republic of Indonesia and the
Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan supporting to the best of their ability the
organization and implementation of the working progran1 mutually agreed

upon between the companies concerned.
e. To organize meetings and seminars in both countries in order to inform
businessmen about the existing possibilities in both countries for joint
ventures and trade.
f. To exchange human resources in order to receive training in trade
development and marketing, as well as in technical and marketing support
and assistance, and for information concerning the transferring of technology,
product assessment, production development, design and packaging.
g. The parties mutually agree to establish as required each party in its country.
Working section (groups) in order to create an organized framework for the
fulfillment of the objectives mentioned above. The working section (group)
should be established not more than six months from the signing of this
Memorandum of Understanding.

Article Ill
AMENDMENTS

This present Memorandum of Understanding may be amended at any time, if
deemed necessary, in writing, by mutual consent.
Article IV

SETTLEMENT OF DISPUTES

"Any differences between the Parties concerning the implementation of this
Memorandum of Understanding shall be settled through consultation of
negotiations".
Article V
ENTRY INTO FORCE, DURATION AND TERMINATION

a. This MOU shall enter into force 30 (thirty) days after its signing in accordance
with the internal procedures of the parties.
b. This MOU may, by mutual consent of both parties and by written notification,
be extended for successive periods of two years.
c. The termination of this MOU shall not affect the completion of any program
undertaken this Memorandum of Understanding.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the undersigned , being dully authorized therto by their
respectives Governments, have signed this Memorandum of Understanding .
DONE at Jakarta in duplicate on eighteen day of January in the year two
thousand and six, in English language. Both texts are being equally authentic.
