FACULTIES OF PUBLIC HEALTH PROJECT

This Loan Amendment No. 3 and Grant Amendment No. 3 are entered
into between the REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA ("Borrower"/"Grantee") and
the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, acting through the AGENCY FOR
INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT ("A. I. D. ") .
WHEREAS, the Borrower/Grantee and A.I.D. entered into a
Faculties of Public Health Project Loan Agreement, designated as
A.I.D. Loan No. 497-U-089, on July 26, 1985, as amended,

("Loan

Agreement"), and a Project Grant Agreement on August 27, 1985 as
amended ("Grant Agreement"), whereby A.I.D. agreed to lend to the
Borrower/Grantee up to Four Million Five Hundred Thirty Four
Thousand and Eight Hundred Three United States ("U.S.") Dollars
($4,534,803)

("Loan") and to grant to the Borrower/Grantee up to

Four Million United States ("U.S . ") Dollars ($4,000,000)

("Grant");

and
WHEREAS, the Borrower/Grantee and A.I.D. desire to amend the
Loan and Grant Agreements to reduce A.I.D. 's prior year loan and
grant financing commitments for the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Borrower/Grantee and A.I.D. hereby agree as
follows:
1.

Section 3.1 of the Loan Agreement is revised by changing

the words and figures "Four Million Five Hundred Thirty Four
Thousand Eight Hundred Three United States ("U.S.") Dollars
($4,534,803)

("Loan")" to read "Four Million Four Hundred Eight

Thousand Two Hundred Eighteen United States ("U . S.") Dollars

the words and figures "Four Million United States ("U.S . ") Dollars
($4,000,000)

("Grant") to read "Three Million Nine Hundred Ninety

Six Thousand Three Hundred Ninety Six United States ("U.S.") Dollars
($3,996,396)

("Grant").

The Budget Summary at the end of Annex 1, in both the Loan

Agreement and Grant Agreement is deleted in its entirety,
substituting therefor in each agreement the revised budget summary
attached to this amendment.

Except as amended herein, the Loan and Grant Agreements are
unchanged and, as amended, remain in full force and effect.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Republic of Indonesia and the United
States of America, each acting through its duly authorized
representative, have caused this Loan Amendment No. 3 and Grant
Amendment No. 3 to be signed in their names and delivered as of the
day and year first above written.
