Opini Mahasiswa Terhadap Keberadaan Bus Lintas USU (Studi Deskriptif Mengenai Opini Mahasiswa FISIP USU Terhadap Keberadaan Bus Lintas USU )

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini berjudul Opini Mahasiswa FISIP USU terhadap Keberadaan Bus
Lintas USU. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauhmana
efektivitas Bus Lintas USU terhadap partisipasi mahasiswa FISIP USU dalam
menggunakan jasa Bus Lintas USU. Teori yang dianggap relevan dalam
penelitian ini adalah teori Komunikasi, teori Opini dan teori Opini Publik. Adapun
Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan
pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa FISIP
USU Program Reguler S1 Angkatan 2012 dan 2013 yang pernah menggunakan
jasa Bus Lintas USU, yang berjumlah sebanyak 422 orang. Dengan menggunakan
rumus Tarro Yamane, diperoleh sampel sebanyak 81 orang. Adapun teknik
pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan penelitian lapangan melalui kuesioner
dan penelitian kepustakaan melalui literatur, sumber bacaan dan teori-teori yang
relevan dalam penelitian ini. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah
analisis tabel tunggal. Dari hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini ternyata
bahwa keberadaan Bus Lintas USU menimbulkan Opini positif dari mahasiswa,
hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil persentase dari data tabel tunggal sebesar 73 orang
responden (90,12%) yang menyatakan bus Lintas USU telah efektif dalam
menjalankan tugasnya.

ABSTRACT
The thesis was entitled “Student’s Opinion of FISIP USU and the
presence of Bus Lintas USU (Descriptive study about the students opinion from
FISIP USU to the presence of Bus Lintas USU). It aims to know how efectivity
the BLU for participation students to get BLU and also to know the positive and
negative impact when Bus Lintas USU presented to the students. The relevant
theory which is used in this research was communication ,opinion and public
opinion. The research used the descriptive methode with qualitative
approachment. The population of this research was 422 students of FISIP USU
regular bachelor degree program for only the generation of 2012 and 2013 whom
used the Bus Lintas USU. To determine the total sample we used Tarro Yamane,
with the precision of 10% and the credibility level of 90%, totaly gained 81
students. The population grouped into strata and having the specific characteristic.
That’s why we used the stratified proportional sampling technique and also
random sampling technique. The technique of collecting data by two way method,

Library research and Field research. The data analysis technique used the singletable analysis. The results of this research was the presence of Bus Lintas USU
got the positive opinion from the students, which is 73 students (90,12%) stated
that Bus Lintas USU was running effectively.
