Menteri Kebudayaan dan Bimbingan Islam Republik Islam Iran, Yang Mulia llenteri Penerangan Republik Indonesia,-, Harmoko memimpin delegasi tingkat pejabat
tinggi berkunjung ke Republik Islam Iran dari tanggal '23-26 September 1991. Yang Mulia Menteri Harmoko telah diterima oleh Yang Mulia Presiden Hashemi

Dengan maksud untuk lebih memperera t dan m: :11P'£_
luas kerjasama di bidang penerangan, Menteri Penerang_
an Republik Indonesia dan Menteri Kebudayaan d a n
Dimbingan Islam Republik Islam Iran telah mengadakan pembicaraan secara bersahabat dan telah mencapai
suatu Resepakatan sebagai berikut:

menukar pengalaman dan kemajuan di bidang

Pasal 2
Kedua pihak akan menpererat hubungan antara 0£
ganisasi-organisasi media massa, ternasuk radio, televisi, film, kantor berita dan pers, serta mendorong kerjasama mereka dalam berbagai bidang, ·

Pasal 3
Kedua pihak akan berupaya untuk mengembangkan
kerjasama bilateral mengenai hal-hal sebagai
ber-
ikut:
- Pertukaran kunjungan antara para delegasi dan per.
sonil media massa di kedua negara.
- Pertukaran bahan-bahan publikasi termasuk penerbitan di kedua negara, sesuai dengan hukum d a n
perundang-undangan yang berlaku di negara rr.asing--rrasing.
- Peliputan jurnalistik oleh masing-raasing negara
terhadap peristiwa-peristiwa penting di negara yang
bersangkutan.
- Pertukaran peserta pelatihan dan para ahli di bi
dang media massa antara kedua negara.
Pasal 4
Kedua pihak akan saling rnengadakan pertukaran
bahan-bahan informasi untuk siaran radio, siaran ｴｾ＠
levisi, pertunjukan film dan lain .sebagainya, rnel!_.

COOPERATION-IN THE FJELD OF INFORMATION
BETWEEN THE Mlf/ISTRY OF INFORMATION OF THE
REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA AND THE MINISTRY OF
CULTURE AND ISLAMIC GUIDANCE OF THE ISLAMIC
REPUBLIC OF IRAN

and Islamic Guidance of Islamic Republic of IRAN, H.E. Mr. HARMOKO ,
Mini'ster of information of Republic of Indonesia leading a high level
delegation visited I.R. IRAN from 23-26 September 1991.

With a view to strengthening and further expanding the cooperation
in the field of information, the Minister of Information of the Republic
of
and the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the
ｉｮ､ｯｾ･ｳｩ｡＠
Islamic Republic of Iran bad friendly talks and reached an agreement as
fol lows : '
Article 1
Both sides sha 11 make every effort to share the successes and
experiences gained in tlie field of information and further expand and
strengthen cooperation in that field.

Article 2
Both sides shall strengthen contacts between the mass media
organizations including radio, television, film, news agency and
the press, and encourage their cooperation in various fields.
Article 3
Both sides shall work to promote bilataral cooperation with
regard to :
- Exchanges of visits between delegations and personnel of the mass
media in both countries.
; Exchanges of publicity material Including publications of both
countries. According to their respective lows and regulations.
- Journalistic coverage by each country of importand events happening

in the other country.
- Exchanges of trainess and experts on mass media between the two
countries.
Article 4
Both sides shall exchange the information materials for radio
broadcast, telecast, film shows etc. Covering the life of the peoples
of both countries in the political, economic, cultural and other
fields and use them according to their own specific policies
respectively.

Article 5
Both sides have _agreed to work jointly for the promotion among
the two peoples of a greater sense of solidarity with the non-aligned

movement and closely cooperate 1n the COMINAC ( Conference of Ministers
of Information of Non-Aligned Countries ) as well as in. the JGC ( InterGovernmental Council).
Article 6
Both sides have agreed to actively endeavour to implement the
decisions of the COMINAC.
Article 7
Both sides will do their best to carry out the provisions of this

Article 8
The financial arrangement for the implementation of thts MemorandlR
·is as follows :
- All materials to be exchanged shall be free of charge but the expenses

such materials shall be borne by the dispatching side.
- The expenses for the round trip of the delegations and personnel to
ｾ＠
be dispatched shall be payable by the dispatching party but their
accomodations are for the account of the receiving party.
Article 9

.This Memorandum of Understanding is done in duplicate copies of

Indonesian, Persian and English versions and all texts are equally
authentic.
If any discrepancies happen in the interpretation of this

the English text will prevail.
