SUPPLEMENTARY AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
FOR SALES OF AGRICULTURAL COMMODITIES
The Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the
Government of the United States of America, as a supplement to the
Agreement for sales of Agricultural Commodities between the two
Governments signed on September 15, 1967 (hereinafter referred to as
the September agreement), have agreed to the sales of commodities
specified below.

This supplementary agreement shall consist of the

Preamble, Parts I and III, and the Convertible Local Currency Credit
Annex of the September Agreement, together with the following Part II.

ITEM III.

Usual Marketings:
There are no usual marketings.

ITEM IV.

Export Limitations:

A.
With regards to each commodity financed under this agreement, the
export limitation period for the same or like commodities shall be the
period beginning on the date of this agreement and ending on the final
date on which the commodity financed under this agreement is imported
and utilized.

For the purposes of Part I, Article III A 3 of the agreement, the

commodities to be the same as, or like, the commodities imported under
this agreement are: wheat and wheat products.
ITEM V.

Self-Help Measures:

The self-help measures for this supplementary agreement are the same
as those set forth in Item V, Part II of the September Agreement.
ITEM VI.

Economic Development Purposes for Which Proceeds Accruing
to Importing Country are to be Used:

For economic development purposes as may be mutually agreed upon
including use for the self-help measures included in Item V.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the respective representatives, duly authorized for
the purpose, have signed the present agreement.

Agreement for.Sales of Agricultural

Commodities between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and
the United States of .America would be signed.

It was noted that this supplement incorporates the provisions of all
previous supplements to the basic agreement, the basic agreement, and
all understRDdings reached as recorded in ?.greed minutes, memoranda of

understanding, and letters, unless such provisions have been specific ally
rescinded in writing by the parties.

It was noted that the arrangements for identification and publicity
of camnodities agreed to in previous supplements to this agreement
remain in force and will apply to this agreement.

It was noted thRt it is now planned thRt approximi:itely 100,000 MT
of the rice under this Rffreement would be delivered by September
JO, 1970 and thAt the r emAinder would be delivered as soon thereRfter as possible, during the

quarter of Calender Year 1970.

1. It was noted that the United States Government was prepared to
give consideration later this yeRr for a request from the Government
of Indonesia for additional rice. However, stringent budget restrictions placed upon the United States Government would require it to

Part II, Item I be amended by increasing the dollar amount
for rice in the commodity table from

be issued by the Government of the United States
of America under Agriculture Commodity Sales Agreements until progress satisfactory to the Government
of the United States of America is achieved toward
resolution of requirements contained in prior
Agriculture Commodity Agreements concerning the
deposit of Rupiah Sales Proceeds into the Special
Account.
