AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO
LOAN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE
REPUBLIC OF IKDONESIA
AND THE
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

APPLIED AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH PROJECT

This AMENDMENT NO. 2, entered into between the REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
("Borrowertt)and the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, actingh through the AGENCY
FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT ("A. I.D. ") •
WITNESSETH THAT
WHEREAS, the Borrower and A.I.D. entered into a Loan Agreement, on
September 29, 1980 ("Loan Agreement"), whereby A.I.D. agreed to loan to
the Borrower up to Five Million United States (''U.S.") Dollars ($ 5,000,000)
("Loan") to assist in financing Borrower's program to expand and improve
agricultural research; and
WHEREAS, the Borrower and A.I.D. amended said Loan Agreement on
December 22, 1980 to add $ 8,000,000, thereby increasing the Loan to

WHEREAS, the Borrower and A.I.D. desire to amend the Loan to add
an additional $ 1,500,000 thereby increasing the Loan to $ 14,500,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Borrower and A.I.D. hereby agree as follows:

The first paragraph of Section 3. 1 is revised to read as
follows:
"Section 3. 1 The Loan.
To assist the Borrower to meet the
costs of carrying out the Project, A.I.D., pursuant to the Foreign
Assistance Act of 1961 as amended, agrees to lend the Borrower t.m.der the
terms of this Agreement not to exceed Fourteen Million Five Hundred 'lhousand
United States ("U.S.") Dollars ($ 14,500,000) ("Loan").

Except as hereinabove expressly amended, the Loan Agreement is

ratified, confirmed and continued in full force and effect in accordance

with all of its terms.
