PENELUSURAN INFORMASI JURNAL ELEKTRONIK DI PERPUSTAKAAN UNIT PELAYANAN TEKNIS BALAI INFORMASI DAN TEKNOLOGI LIPI BANDUNG MELALUI www.digilip.bit.lipi.go.id.

ABSTRAK

Laporan Tugas Akhir ini mebahas mengenai Penelusuran Informasi Jurnal elektronik
di UPT BIT LIPI Bandung melalui situs www.digilip.bit.lipi.go.id. Observasi ini
bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses penelusuran informasi, mulai dari Pemilihan
koleksi jornal elektronik melalui www.digilip.bit.lipi.go.id di Perpustakaan UPT
BIT LIPI, Input Data ke Journal Elektronik di Perpustakaan UPT BIT LIPI, hingga
Penelusuran Informasi atau Koleksi pada Jurnal Elektronik di Perpustakaan UPT BIT
LIPI. Dalam observasi ini penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan teknik
pengumpulan datanya melalui wawancara dan observasi. Hasil observasi menunjukan
bahwa kegiatan Penelusuran Informasi Jurnal elektronik di UPT BIT LIPI Bandung,
sudah sesuai dengan prosedur Penelusuran informasi. Namun pada pelaksanaannya
kegiatan penelusuran ini masih terdapat kekurangan pengunjung, sehingga kegiatan
penelusuran kurang
optimal, serta masih ada keterlambatan dalam proses
penyebarluasan informasinya. Dari uraian diatas dapat disimpulkan bahwa. Digital
Library dapat membantu tenaga pustakawan dan penelusuran informasi. Perpustakaan
sebagai lembaga informasi teknologi berfungsi dalam layanan maupun penelusuran
data. Penerapan Teknologi Informasi (TI) saat ini telah menyebar. Hampir disemua
bidang tidak terkecuali di perpustakaan. Perpustakaan sebagai institusi pengelola
informasi merupakan salah satu bidang penerapan teknologi informasi yang

berkembang dengan sangat pesat . Perkembangan dari penerapan Teknologi
Informasi bisa kita lihat dengan dikembangkanya perpustakaan digital library.
Sebagai suatu lembaga penelitian sedang melaksanakan pengembangan sistem
informasi perpustakan,dari sistem manual ke sistem Digital ( Digital –Library) dalam
mendukung kegiatan perpustakaan, sehingga lebih efisien dalam melakukan
penelusuran data.

ABSTRACT

This final report is to discuss about the electronic Journal on Information Retrieval
Unit BIT LIPI Bandung through www.digirip.bit.lipi.go.id sites. This observation
aims to find out the information search process, starting from the Electoral electronic
journal collection through www.digilip.bit.lipi.go.id in UPT Library BIT LIPI, Input
Data to Electronic Journal on UPT Library BIT LIPI, to search the collection of
information or The Electronic Journal Library UPT BIT LIPI. In this observation the
author uses descriptive method with data collection through interviews and

observations. Observation results showed that activity in the electronic Journal of
Information Retrieval Unit BIT LIPI Bandung, are in accordance with the procedures
of information search. But the implementation of these researches activity is still a
shortage of visitors, so that search activity is less than optimal, and there are still
delays in the process of disseminating information. From the above description it can
be concluded that Digital Library can help librarians and information retrieval.
Library as an information institution act both in the service of information technology
and data researches. Application of Information Technology (IT) has now spread.
Almost all fields in the library are no exception. The Library as an information
management institution is one of the application areas of information technology is
growing very rapid. The development of the application of information technology we
can see with his developed digital library library. As a research institution is
implementing the development of library information systems, from manual system to
Digital system (Digital -Library) in support of the activities in the library, so it is
more efficient to perform data researches.
