ANALISA MUTU CRUDE PALM OIL (CPO) DENGAN PARAMETER
KADAR ALB (ASAM LEMAK BEBAS) PADA PT. SARANA AGRO
NUSANTARA UNIT BELAWAN MEDAN
ABSTRAK

Telah dilakukan penentuan kadar asam lemak bebas dari Crude Palm Oil (CPO)
yang diproduksi oleh PT. Perkebunan Nusantara dan perusahaan swasta yang
dikirim ke PT. Sarana Agro Nusantara Unit-Belawan Medan, Salah satu
parameter untuk mengetahui kualitas mutu dari Crude Palm Oil (CPO) adalah
kadar asam lemak bebas (ALB), Dilakukan dengan metode volumetri yaitu
dengan menggunakan KOH 0,1 N sebagai zat peniternya, phenolpthalein sebagai
indikator dan campuran n-heksan dan etanol sebagai pelarutnya. Dari hasil yang
diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa kadar asam lemak bebas adalah 2,33% - 3,23%.
Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil yang diperoleh telah memenuhi standart
norma mutu peneriman Eksport dan standart norma penerimaan mutu Crude
Palm Oil (CPO) Pada PT. Sarana Agro Nusantara Unit- Belawan Medan.

ABSTRACT

The determination of free fatty acid content from Crude Palm Oil (CPO) produced
by PT. Perkebunan Nusantara and private company sent to PT. Sarana Agro
Nusantara Unit-Belawan Medan, One of parameters to know the quality quality of
Crude Palm Oil (CPO) Is the free fatty acid (ALB) content, performed by
volumetric method by using 0.1 N KOH as its peniter, phenolpthalein as indicator
and mixture of n-hexane and ethanol as solvent. The results show that free fatty
acid content is 2.33% - 3.23%. Then it can be concluded that the results obtained
have met the standard of export quality standard of admission and standard of
acceptance quality standards Crude Palm Oil (CPO) At PT. Sarana Agro
Nusantara Unit-Belawan Medan.
